Daphne's settling down very well, thank you very much ........... she will be planted out near her sisters some time over the weekend.

I think there are 4 in the front garden, and 1 or 2 in the back ....... so OH just has to choose the most compatible so they don't argue too much.

we're just not going to tell her that her close sister, also called tangutice, turned up her toes last year.

Renes,

Just taken a butchers at your des res. Like the view from the roof terrace, it looks an ideal spot to take ones tiffin.

Strange they found the dad in Canada

It's a bit like the one JC and myself had been working on lately hope that one turns out ok

Its all well and good starting up a new board but the resources they had would be a lot better than ours

Sylvs! You hate living rellies????

I'm sure your family will be delighted to hear that.....not........lol

Yes Ja...x...BUT....It would mean that it was all in one place and peoples privacy violations would be spotted straight away by GR and could be sorted straight away
And anyone wanting to help the searchers on here would only have to look at the one place and offer their help by PM after leaving a message on the post to say that they have offered help ?
A board for the purpose of help in finding living Rellies on here really is a must I believe and that is why I keep harping on about it...Not that I am a harpy of course.;)

seriously

I don't like seeing the names of living people posted on these open boards .......... women who gave up their children for adoption in the 1930s / 40s, etc, or earlier, did so in the belief that their names would be kept secret.

Some may want to be found, others don't .... and I just don't think it is fair.

Similarly, men may have skipped for a reason, or may not even know there was a child.

and, anyway, how do we know that these searches are genuine? How do we know it is not a stalker or an abusive ex-partner?

That's why I hardly ever post on a "looking for a living rellie" thread.

However, the idea of a special board that, hopefully, would be better monitored is a good idea ..... at least for a trial.

Renes,

Tiffin is lunch, or any light meal.

The word originated when Indian custom superseded the British practice of an afternoon dinner, leading to a new word for the afternoon meal. It is derived from the obsolete English slang tiffing, for "taking a little drink or sip".

FannyByGaslight

FannyByGaslight Report 21 Apr 2011 22:57

Aha...LIQUID lunch then???

Renes

Ah --then in that case -- the best place is in the top garden -- under the shade of the Apricot tree

All you others have seen better photos on the FB page -- they are the ones taken by the Agent in Feb --- garden was sh*te
