Hi Sylvia, fingers crossed that all is well for you, try not to think about and do as Persie suggested over the weekend :-)
LOL Persie I am not that polite, just a bit diplomatic because it would be my luck if I phrased things differently the thread would get reported...again!

You all realise the 1st of July is heading for night time for me... I will have to set my alarm for 7am to be here around 6pm... Brits time.... It better be a good party and I will be in my Jim Beam Pyjamas.... You will recognise me by them they are black and red... My younger SIL did laugh at me when he first saw me in them. It's okay though I laugh at him lots.... his MacDonalds farm for my little grandson.. has a gibbon... my SIL makes very good gibbon noises. I do worry though when August goes to preschool he will be expecting the teacher to do a gibbon. :-S

Good morning everyone!
Big hug to Sylvia to last you through the weekend (((((HUGGG))))) <3 <3 Try to have a restful one and try not to worry too much!
That breakfast looks lovely Sylvs and I am quite ready for it - I have been slaving away preparing 'my' contrbution to the Party.
I decided, like you, that it was going to be a 'big' one - LOTS of people there, and GR Team might even turn up so have to have LOTS of food :-D ('specially as 'I' will be there too :-))
Ok then - here I come with 'cakes and sandwiches', as requested: This will be 'my' contribution to the Party.......
Sachertorte Lemon drizzle cake Iced Carrot cake Grannie's Rich Fruit cake. Banana + Honey cake Coffee + Walnut Fresh cream eclairs Almond tartlets Chocolate Ginger cake
Selection of sandwiches: all served in a selection of freshly baked breads - white, wholemeal, brown, gluten-free...
Philly dilly + ham Tuna + cucumber Egg mayonaise + cress Cottage Cheese + chives Cheese + sausage Sausage pinwheels Pesto + tomato Toasts Hot peppered beef beef + onion Roast Pork, apple sauce and stuffing Farmhouse cheddar + ploughman pickle Chicken salad with chopped walnuts Egg Salad Corned beef + chutney
A few extra's
Cheesy Cornmeal muffins Corn fritters topped with chive cream Asparagus + Hollandaise rolls Cream cheese log - stuffed with herbs, olives and toasted pine nuts, rolled in freshly chopped parsley and served with cracker biscuits. Mini Sausage meat + apple rolls Mini Cheese + Onion Rolls
I will bring it all along later.....
I can bring more if needed but will see what others are bringing first and what, if anything is missing.
Ohhhh - It's going to be 'one heck of a Celebration' !!:-D
Just having my lovely breakfast now but I think I might only have a 'very light' lunch to leave room for later.
See you later,
Dea x

Lovely flowers Cynthia !!!
The weather looks as if it is going to be kind to us :-)
Does anyone remember that 'our Fred' was actually born at precisely 1.55 pm. on this day, one year ago . (I am sure that Ginny does as she was the one who 'gave birth') :-D
As we have SO much food, and more yet to come, shall we declare an 'early start' at the exact time of his birth with a glass of Champagne, then we can carry on throughout the day until the others arrive and REALLY get the 'Party Poppin' at 6pm ?
