Good morning all,

Dea,

Pray tell what it was that effected your miracle cure as I who similarly suffer could do with some of the same. Do they sell it at Asda? If so I will order it online.

Cyn,

It sounds as though you had a worthwhile and profitable day yesterday. Fancy running out of Hot-Pot, inexcusable, get a bigger pot to prepare it in next time.

Gin,

I too am partial to Thorntons Continental assortment chocolates so if you are stuck knowing what to get me for Christmas, there's a clue. A couple of Christmas's ago I bought Mrs J what Thorntons online described as "A Cascade of Continental Chocolates. It cost me £70 and do you know what, she ate them all herself. Now if that isn't grounds for divorce then I would like to know what are.

Linda,

Let us hope that your coming week will not be as traumatic as last week.

Dea Report 24 Nov 2013 09:10

Good morning Jonesey :-D

Sorry, they don't sell it at Asda's :-(

In the case of the ear problem it was 6 weeks of various drops and oils followed by a visit to the nurse who used her 'magic machine' .....

The breathing problem, as you know, is more difficult................ The only thing which helps me at all is the Symbicort turbohaler which is prescribed regularly but when I pick up a chest infection which usually happens at this time of year my lovely doctor prescribes antibiotics and a 10 day course of steroid tabs which she very kindly lets me have in advance to keep at home and I can then start on them immediately the problem arises. They take a while to 'kick in' but I couldn't survive without them.

Hope you are doing well in this cold weather.

Nice to see you. <3

Dea,

Throughout my life I have suffered with excess ear wax production. About every 2 years it would eventually (Usually after swimming) block my ears to such an extent that I would have to visit the doctors to have it removed. In years gone-by the doctor used a syringe the size of a stirrup pump to blast the wax out. The treatment was usually very effective and apart from the first day or so when every sound heard was loud and tinny, normal hearing was quickly restored.

Nowadays that trusty implement has been replaced by what you describe as a "Magic Machine". It may be that my doctors surgery has a particularly weak example of that type of machine but in my opinion it is not capable of blowing the skin off a rice pudding. The last time I visited the surgery after 2 weeks of applying Cerumol ear drops, the practice nurse used her "Magic Machine" but failed completely to cure my problem.

The product that I have found to be the best for breaking down earwax is Otex. I first discovered that in the USA where it is called Aurex. It is a weak solution of Hydrogen Peroxide and like most medicinal products bought over the counter in chemists, is grossly overpriced at £5.99 for just 10 ml. That said if it works I suppose that it is worth buying.

Printer died today when I was trying to print marking sheets. Tried everything, it was not playing, it didn't want to talk to the desktop

Puts on coat to go and buy another, runs to loo and there it happened..........

Why don't I uninstall the drivers and download them back onto the machine

BINGO........they are talking again :-)

Saved me £300ish and saved me being late with my marking

Happy Days

Hello everyone,

Just popped in to catch up.

Nice to see you Mr Jones <3

Had a hectic few days with poor little Star. (and poor little me)

I have posted photo's on FB of her scar OH is taking her to vet tomorrow and will find out how long her stitches and staples have to stay in.

D-I-L starts back to work tomorrow and we will be on duty bright and early on Tuesday,

We were out with her parents tonight for a meal to build out strength up ;-)

The house is a bit quieter for the next couple of days as Star and her mummy and daddy (son and partner) are staying at her Mum's

Gins enjoy your week off. Why were you going to pay that amount for a printer?

Am off to bed now am tired x
