we're slowly coming to terms with it. We'll do what she wants.


My daughter phoned this morning ......... she wants to see if she can arrange a "long weekend" trip over to see her aunt. That depends more on sis-i-l than on getting plane tickets.

This time, she'll leave the kidwink with his father.



A VERY rude awakening this morning

The motion sensor went off at 4:30am

I was at the bedroom door before I even opened my eyes :-D

Turned out that OH had heard the smoke alarm go off in the basement .............. through 2 closed doors, 1 room and the enclosed stair well. So he had got up without waking me, and gone to investigate.

However, he had forgotten to turn off the motion sensor, so he put one foot on the little landing at the turn of the stairs and .......................


Neither of us went back to sleep after that ................. he had set his alarm for 6 am 'cos he had to be out of the house by 7 am, and we were so worried that we wouldn't hear the alarm!

A long day but everything went well. Granddaughter read at the service and was excellent. Very proud of her.

I was about to order a knitting pattern for tiddlers BUT the cost of postage was only about 30p cheaper than the pattern.

I think I will wait and get it in a shop :-)

I had switched off compatibility settings to access my college remote desktop

Switched back on and it looks as though it might have solved the problem

New pc tomorrow so this one will go to No 1 son

Bacon, sausages, mushrooms, tomatoes, fried bread, baked beans in the warmers.

Porridge is bubbling nicely and the eggs are poaching.

Plenty of toast, crumpets and muffins at the ready.......

Fresh fruits, cereals, yoghurts etc all set out........

Croissants, danish pastries, freshly baked warm bread rolls....
