I don't have room for a dishwasher and, whilst there are only 2 of us for the majority of the time, I don't really need one. Anyway, washing dishes is VERY good exercise for OH..... :-D

Had a very late night last night :-D


Have phoned the gas person and he will come out late afternoon.

Yes Dea you have got it right. I will not be using them again. Still to get the bill and I usually pay them when they finish but am so angry this time they can wait.

Off soon to visit in-laws things are getting worse with them. :-(

Where are you all hiding?

Heating fixed (I hope) took him all of 15 minutes :-)

Of course he waited till I was putting dinner out so left him to it.

Will just keep an eye on the pressure tonight. (The boilers not mine ;-) )

Off to see the eye consultant about OH progress this afternoon. We will discover whether or not he needs to continue with the eye injections or be moved to another form of treatment. Hey ho............

I have so much ironing to do that I think someone has sneaked some in!! :-0

Hope all goes well for OH Cynthia - It would be nice if he could stop having those injections or at least not have them quite so often. He must be very brave to have them done, they can't be pleasant.

Have spent all day trying to get the house back to normal.

The sun is shining brightly but the wind is blowing hard .............

I am doing the Full English today - Eggs, bacon, sausages, tomatoes, mushrooms, fried bread - it will be ready very soom.

There are also platters of various hams and cheeses,

Porridge, cereals, assorted yoghurts and fresh fruits.

Lots of toast with an assortment of sweet or savoury spreads,

Hot freshly baked bread rolls, crumpets, crackers,

Croissants and danish pastries.

Please help yourselves,

The visit to the Consultant could have been better unfortunately. The vision in his poorly eye has deteriorated slightly and it seems as though there has been another bleed in it. He is to continue with the course of injections and to see the Consultant again after the first one. It is all to do with the Age Related Macular Degeneration which he has. However, we continue to move onwards and will take what comes, as and when it comes. :-)

He is still able to wash dishes...... :-D


Quite a busy day today......dentist - lunch with a friend - visitor this evening.


Hope Linda's leak gets sorted soon..... :-D


Must tidy round and put the airing away etc.etc..............

Oh dear Cynths - I am sorry that the hospital visit did not go better <3

Glad he can still wash dishes though - I bet he can do them on 'automatic pilot' with all the practice you give him ;-) :-D :-D

Sorry your OH didn't get better news yesterday. Enjoy your lunch.

The leak has been fixed (hopefully ) I did find his bank card sitting in the driveway :-) told him I am holding it hostage till I am sure the heating is fixed ;-)

Now I have a cupboard to organise -again.

I am still chucking about my little grandson's comment yesterday............

We were having our evening meal before they went home - Grandad had just left the table so there was me and grand-daughter and grandson.

Now, I have to explain that grand-daughter will eat practically anything whereas grandson is extremely difficult to feed and he will wriggle about, play silly, sing, make silly noises or otherwise misbehave rather than eat properly. I have been working on curbing this behaviour for a long time now and things are getting better.

Yesterday he got to the end of his meal without too much trouble and I said to him "Well done xxxx you ate that very nicely and you have a clean plate'

He replied - 'except for the crumbs' so I said 'well we can't help the crumbs but you have eaten it all up'.

Grand-daughter said (jokingly) 'you can get rid of the crumbs grannie - You just have to lick your plate' :-D :-D

Grandson replied immediately and with the very words and in a tone I have heard myself use VERY often to him in the past - " That's not allowed in 'this' house Axxx !!!." .............. I had to stiffle my laughter.

He is only 5 and I think he is turning into me !!! :-| :-S :-S

Still, at least his table behaviour is improving. ;-)

I have had a day and half!! Son phoned to see if I could take grandson to dentist this afternoon so I said 'yes' (as you do). Set off to our own dentist this morning but he was running so late that I said to just sort out OH and I would come back at another time.

Rushed from there to my lunch appointment. From there to you-know-where to pick up something I had left on Sunday. From there home. Then went to son's. Off to that dentist. Back to son's and, eventually, back home......sheeeeeeesh... and this is retirement!!!

I am only just getting round to doing my messaging......:-S

I have had a busy day too. Heating guy out again.

Then I had a Doctors appointment. My shoulder has been giving me jip for a while but been concentrating on other "bits"

Finally had to give in and go and see her. She is querying osteoathritis :-|

I think I am falling apart. went for xray so have to wait 2 weeks for results.

Aaargh!!
