Morning all. :-D

Thank you for breakfast Gins.......xx

Morning Joy. Your life is not complete until you have found a Smith to go with your Jones you know..... :-D :-D :-D

Dea.......not too bad a day for me today. (She says) :-S

I met a friend from another church a couple of weeks ago and we were talking about war memorials and the anniversary of The First World War. Most churches have memorials inside them and, on the spur of the moment, I volunteered to delve into the names on the memorial in her church. Just basic facts......nothing too in depth.

I have been going through them and really enjoying myself - it's just the time it takes really.

When I mentioned it to someone at my own church, I was shown a folder which had been put together some years ago. It contains all of the names on the local cenotaph - which happens to be in our church grounds - and gave details of each man and where killed and buried. A family from church had been out to Normandy, found the graves and placed a flower on behalf of the church and community on each one apparently. What a lovely thing to do. <3

Tis pouring with rain and we have a visitor this morning and this evening. Hey ho.

Oh I am shattered.

Had a lovely lunch with my Mums cousins.

Then they came home with us to meet the boys.

Had a really lovely day and have been invited to the NY cousins to stay :-)

The problem will be fitting it in with all her travelling. She has visited 66 countries not bad for a young lady who has just turned 79 :-D

Not that she looks it she puts me in mind of my Mum great company.

Plans for tomorrow and Sunday?

Zilch :-D

It was such a beautiful touch to place a flower on each grave too Cynths. It would mean a lot to any relatives or descendants back home.

Good morning all :-)

Thank you Cynthia - I don't mind cooking my own as you have those rather tasty butchers sausages ;-) They are much nicer than mine and your barmcakes are rather special too. - We can't really get them down here, only the supermarket type (occasionally). The local bakers do not produce them fresh :-(

Lots of lovely crisp bacon to go with it and I am a happy bunny <3 <3 <3

See you all later,

Thank you for putting that link on here for me about he peregrines.

I have watched half of it and will finish it later - It is SO sweet !

I did notice that one of those chicks was getting an awful lot more food than the others and there was one poor little thing just lying there who obviously needed to be fed but didn't seem to have the strength to get up and fight for it. It is obvious which ones will survive.

I must look later just to see if anyone took pity on the poor thing ;-)

It's a live streaming net cam, you're watching them in real time

Don't worry, they all get fed in turn

I've had a quite day too, JB was at work, taking his team for an away day. They did a SWOT analysis this morning, then went to play golf

Linds............bet it's not so quiet now!
