Find Ancestors

I'm looking for anyone who knows who her parents or siblings where i have looked on the census of 1901 but not sure if she was born by then and cant find her on 1911 as it does not give enough info i have an idea who parents where, but need to confirm.

How do you know she was born 1901 ?

There are 4 possibles born in Wigan around that time

why dont you mention who you think her parents were, it will help to narrow things down a bit.

i know there have been one or two but just cant seem to find the right one.

I think its on the grave stone. she was my grandfathers second wife but no one seems to know who her parents where my aunt is elizabeths daughter but she does not know anything about her mother as her mother died shortly after giving birth. :-0

Well the marriage cert to grandfather should give her age and her fathers name

i think her mother was Mary Johnson born 1867 as she had a daughter Elizabeth just a couple of months old on the 1901 census she was not married. but i could be wrong

How do you know she is was born in 1901?

If you can buy either a marriage cert or more preferable a birth cert for her this will give the additional information necessary to accurately identify her on the census records

i think you need to buy the marriage cert to grandad. If you need help then give some details and we can take a look at the marriage records

She married William Lord in 1925. William was married before to Elizabeth Fisher. my grandmother she died in 1922. i will have to send for the marriage cert. :-0 more money :-0

however if she WAS just 3 months at census then the first one is more likely

she is down as Elizabeth A Johnson on the marriage record ??

1901 census date was 31st March.

She could have been born late December 1900 and still be 3 months old.

That's if it's the right Elizabeth on the 1901 census. !!

... and if it is that Elizabeth, then the marriage cert will probably not have a father's name on it.

Would this fit her death?

**BUT, really this is all conjecture without buying a certificate, especially with a fairly usual name. Sorry, but this isn't a cheap hobby!

Can I ask, how do you know she was born in Wigan ?

In 1901, Newton in Makerfield was in Warrington RD, although Wigan & Leigh RD now hold the regos.
