Lovely news Mo congraultation to the parents and Grandparents I love that name Lily. I have been busy cleaned another cupboard out and got rid of a lot of stuff means another trip to the charity shop tuesday I was shattered afterwards so had to go and have a lay down for half an hour, I will give it a rest tomorrow. Tuesaday I have the foot clinic so I dont think I will do anything that day? It has got cold here my radiators are cold yet the heating is on. ?I will have to check later to make sure they are alright. Marilyn in that heat and tanned at that. wait till she gets home and feels the cold. The Tv looks good tonight so I will make myself a ham sandwich and cup of tea and watch that till bedtime. Hi Jean how are you today ? I hope your being good and not doing too much ? you have to look after yourself till your better,
Rita x

Oh congratulations Mo, that's lovely, great news that little Lily arrived safe and well.
Where you out again last night? You little gadabout, always out on the town. Did you enjoy the party? Now if you'd invited Friendly Thread, you wouldn't have needed to hear the disco, we've got some lovely singers on here *she fibbed*.
Hazelnut Baileys, Pat, that sounds nice. I think it's the first year I didn't get any Baileys as a present. Never mind, I'll just buy myself some.
Cath, your soil mustn't be as wet as ours if you managed to work in the garden, I'd sink if I stood on our soil, it's a bog. I'm looking forward to the bulbs coming through though, I love spring.

Thank you folks for the congratulations. I am waiting for my son to E.Mail me baby's photo, when he does I will send it on.
Pauline the party was o.k, but I have got to the stage where I don't really like crowds of people. I much prefer little groupsof people. Always wary in case there is any trouble that could flare up. It's changed over the years, back in the 60's 70's 80's, there didn't seem to as many fights as these days. And if there was any trouble, it was normally kept to the two people concerned, but now, any tom dick or harry pokes there noses in, and things escalate.
Rita, you are a fine one, telling Jean to take it easy. You have just worn yourself out again, doing the cupboards out. Now sit your bum down, have a nice cuppa, and watch some telly, and most of all, get some rest.
Cath, you make me feel guilty doing all that gardening and clearing up. I have to admit, that I cleaned the bedrooms and bathroom this morning, but downstairs can wait till tomorrow. Yep I know, Lazy Lazy me. LOL

Oooh this flaming site, it submitted before I had finished.
Pat, take it easy on that Baileys, especially if you have got work in the morning. It's about time these bloomin coughs packed their bags and left. They are not wanted are they. What have you done with Stephen tonight then, he's missing. I caught up on the pair of you chatting away last night. I bet he's snuggled up to Fluffy Paws fast asleep.
Shelly, did you get your plates from Romford market today. You should buy plastic ones, and then if you feel like juggling them, they wont break as easily. How the heck did you manage to break them anyway.
Make the most of the decent weather Marilyn, as it's not very nice home here.
Hi Lady, hows you doing. We don't see as much of you lately, don't forget we are here will you love.
Now I wonder how our super nan Jean is. I hope you are o.k honey, and not overdoing things.
Linda,Maddie,Yvonne, Stephen, Dermot ,Sue just to let you know I have not forgotten you. If I have missed anyone, I apologise.

We have paved front garden (tiny) with a raised bed at one end, good drainage. The back is also small with gravelled area and shrubs etc. Have planted bulbs everywhere there is a space as I so look forward to spring. Lots of pots on raised feet as well. I long for a bigger garden and the time to look after it.

Hi Mo Congratulations to the new parents, the new grandparents and welcome to the world Lily. One of my Great Aunts was a Lily, the girls were Daisy(my Grandmother),May, Violet, Iris Lily and June. The only boy was Joseph. Thank goodness he wasn't named after a flower eh?
I too noticed some daffodil and Hyacinth tips poking through. Can't wait for spring I do so love all the new flowers and leaves.
Well I have cleared the paperwork, hide it away for a while. I should wash the kitchen floor but it might have to wait til the morning.

Congratulations to Granny Mo. Great that little Lily and mother are both well. May the Light of Peace always shine on her.
A BIG MOAN
I'm sick and tired and totally fed up with all the 'Celeb' programmes that or on Telly. From being in the Jungle, On Ice. Dine With Me etc. I get really peed off with them. I'm sure that ordinary folk would produce as good a programme and give more laughs. It's as if it's 'Let's make money for our pals' is the order of the day.
MOAN OVER
Back to the serious reality that is on the 'Friendly Thread'
Patricia, I have a Recipe for Baileys somewhere in the house. Tried making it once and it turned out fine.
Gardening......managed to do a bit of tidying up in that today as well. My bulbs are showing well despite the bad weather recently. I enjoy it when all my daffodils are in bloom.
We have some land that is totally given over to Mother Nature and she does a fairly good job with it. The colours change throughout the year.........lovely.
The sky is clearing here and a lovely moon is hanging in the heavens along with a fair display of stars. Temperature is going down so may be a bit of frost in the morning.
Gonna have a glass of Irn Bru.

Hello everyone, hope you are all ok, It was lovely to sleep in my own bed last night, and to have my breakfast when I was ready for it this morning, but having said that I was very well looked after, the nurses were lovely, and work so hard. I came home with a list of do's and dont's, and my own GP came to see me this morning, Mo, congratulations on your new Grandaughter, what a lovely name, love to the family. All your messages kept me cheerful, thank you so much. Surprising what a difference good friends can make when you are a bit ill, Take care and stay safe. Jean xx

Patricia,
I NEVER watch them it's just that Mrs Stephen has the telly on in the same room and I can't help but hear them and obviously 'see' some of what is going on. Total junk as far I'm concerned. But it is entertainment of a sort and some folk will enjoy them. Gotta come and go a bit I suppose.

A tea and porridge will be fine thanks.
Good Morning All.
Black and wet out there. I have done a David Copperfield and the BT Tower has disappeared.
I went past it on the bus the other day. Apparently there is a countdown to the Olympics running around the top in red letters. Only 507 days to go.
Back to the coal face.
Keep well and warm.
