Morning to the early risers I was up early but have done the ironing before Little M arrives.
Very frosty here too Maddie. Next door woke me when he was out scraping his screen.
Hopefully get out today Might wrap Little up in a towel incase she is sick again but at least we will get some fresh air.
Hope Rita is better today and yesterdays snuffles were just a blip.
Have a good day everyone
Linda :o) XxXX

Anyway GOOD MORNING TO YOU ALL. Mo she is a little darling I am speaking of LILLY now. she looked so cute in her little hat. she looks bigger than I thought should would be.
Pat what part of the isle of wight are you going to in June > we are off to Sandown in July. I remembered my husbands cusion lived on the isle of wight we have never met, .he lives in Sanddown he sends me a Christmas card every year so I might phone him from our hotel ,
Lady I was wondering where you had got too, it seem ages since you were on here ?
Linda I have got rid of my snuffles I think it might have been the rain that did it , as the dampness can affect you and it often does me .makes me a ache all over,
Hi Pauline I was wondering where Dermot was he must be having a rest.or thinking up some more of his sayings, Dermot where are you ?
I am off to get my dinner ready I like to eat about 1 oclock so I can sit down and watch TV for an hour. I brought a lot of fruit this morning filled two large bowels.

My confidence has been boosted! I cannot remember the last time 'anyone' ever said they missed me. Boring old sod - that's me!

Evening all. Of course we missed you Dermot, you are one of us now. The mad gang.
Stephen, are you saying we are getting old, because we are a load of jerks.LOL My hands are shaking now, in fear and terror of old age. When I get there I will let you know how it feels.
It's oh so peaceful here now.We have had the new mummy and daddy here for most of the day. The midwife called on them early this morning, and will not be back again until Friday. She is very pleased with both mum and baby.
S. is in for a lovely surprise tomorrow, her Gran and Granpa, are coming down from Scotland for ten days, and she has no idea they are coming. It's been secret squirrel here, son and us talking in riddles so that she doesn't catch on to what we are talking about. She was bought up by her grandparents, so they are more like mum and dad to her, bless her.
I cooked Chinese for all of us, and fortunately mummy has now got her apetite back, and was able to enjoy her food. All the while she was pregnant ,she was unable to eat very much, because she was so sickly throughout it. No wonder baby is not a good feeder. She is now on 2oz of milk 4 hourly, thank goodness. I know this is uninteresting, to both of our menfolk, so I apologise.
Oooh Pat, so we have a celebrity's sister amongst us now. Was your sister, doing the publicity, for a large company. Do tell us, all this excitement is getting to me now. ( Saddo thats me )
Marilyn should be back home tomorrow. She's staying at friends tonight I believe. I hope they have had a comfortable flight home.

Doting Mo doing here Nanny bit. How lovely for you to have a new baby. Bless her.
Rita and Patricia both going to Sandown this year. It really is a lovely Island, but nothing like it was 30 years ago. Never mind, go and play minature golf on the Green, and go down the slide next door. lol

Unfortunately Leeds lost. My sister just happened to be pictured at a publicity event. She didn't arrange it or anything like that! Her in laws are rich enough to need Financial Advisers and it was these Financial Advisers who organised this event. Me - I'm just The poor relation! The first time I went to I.o.W was in 1983. It never seems to rain there. I'm going as part of a coach tour so there won't be that much travelling.

Oh Stephen, how you do flatter a gel. lol
You did indeed see a wee lassie sitting on a beach, but that was Canvey Island in Essex. Or as I now realise, Canvey on Mud. It is a few miles from Southend, but it had reinforcements during WW2, and it was still there when I was a kid. There were parts of Canvey that had barbed wire along the coast line. We were poor but we were happy.
Dont want to shout, but the cough may be going. Please God.
Night night all.

Morning it isnt really , it is a grey day looks like one of those film they make where they get the reaper ready to pounce.
Maddie I use to go on holiday to Canvey isle with my grandmother , when she went on holiday. she always took me , and our Landlord who was friend of the family , had some little holiday homes there ,so we stayed in one of those. . I have a photo somewhere of when I was a little girl sitting on a step with a couple of little boys who were staying in one of the holiday places, .It is ages since I heard anyone mention Canvey. mind you it was many years ago about 70 odd.
Morning Jean I hope your feeling better. I slept well last night for a change.
I am trying today to find out about some prefabs in Roundwood Park Willesden my uncle lived in one and there is no one left I can ask about the one they lived in. our WFHS is doing a booklet on them but they need more info.
I will have to think about how to go about trying to find more info.
well time for another cup of tea. I have not made my bed yet. Rita
