Washing on soon to be hung out horray

Some bad news from my friend, hubby has been unwell for a couple of weeks diagnosed with sinusitus. Yesterday saw a different Dr as really not well, sent to A&E. CT scan and diagnosed with encephilitis, swelling of the brain !!! At least 2 weeks in hospital now on anti viral drugs. Hope and pray he gets well soon. She will be frantic. He is 60 in May so not old, but not young either.

Sorry to hear about your MIL Yvonne. Please give your husband my condolences.

Sorry that we upset someone by looking at the photos, didn't realize that we weren't supposed to be looking at them.

I take it that we can keep the one of Maddie, Mo and Yvonne together, as we already have photos of them. I didn't actually keep the others anyway because I didn't know any of the people on them......... but I had looked at them.

Yvonne if you took any photos with just the people from Friendly Thread - I'm sure Maddie and Mo will say we can see them.

Shelly, what are you doing messing about with electricity, are you trying to kill yourself? Get a lecky in!! (is that how you spell lecky?)

I don't think you'll ever have to worry about your youngest son, he'll do well in life.......... LOL

Of course you can keep the photo of me, if you don't mind it blurring your screen, and hopefully Yvonne and Maddie will say the same.
None of us have kept any of the other photo's,as we would not want to upset people.
I am concerned that Maddie has not been on G.R for a couple of days now
though. It is not like her not to show her face,even if it's for just a few minutes.
All that has happened must have really upset her.
How are you all now, has your cold/flu cleared up yet. Is Brent doing o.k

Linda, what a shock for you both about your friends hubby. But god willing, he is in the right place for them to get him back to normal.
Anything to do with the brain, does frighten the life out of you, speaking from experience.
When Roly had his Brain Haemorrage,followed by Hydro Cephalitus (fluid on the brain) I didn't know if I was on my head or my heels, so I feel really deeply for your friend, and hope and pray for a good out come for him, and strength for your friend to face the coming days.

I was about to go earlier but plane delayed by 2 hours....

I'm not wishing to travel in this heat anyway so that plane can be delayed another 6 hrs. until it cools down ..LOL

I' m sure the weather is going to follow me home .just going for another shower to freshen up ..

Marilyn, the weather has arrived before you, it's lovely here.

Mo, I've been busy trying to sort out my son's new wheelchair. It had loads of things wrong with it and they all had to be put right by different people, we've been going backwards and forwards. It seems to be OK now though, I think we've got it all sorted.

Mind you, one of the brakes looks a bit iffy now, I think someone may have damaged it while altering something else.

I hope Maddie isn't still upset.

I recall them trying to fix it, and mucking it up.

Shelly, just you take care with that electricity, and be sure to flick the switch to the consumer unit off first. We don't want you to get a shock, or kill yourself in the process, it just isn't worth it,especially if they move you in the future. O.K I know, thats like asking for the moon, to get moved before the year 2020 would be a miracle wouldn't it.

Marilyn should be getting ready for her flight soon. Thats if Pete has managed to get her out of the shower.
I have visions of a woman getting on the plane wrapped in a bath towel, with dripping wet hair. Nahhhh that would never happen, Marilyn would nip into the hairdressers first, to get a quick wash and blow dry

LOL Mo, no chance our Marilyn would be seen outdoors looking less than perfect........... from her hair to her toenails.

This is a new chair my son has, it was sent back a couple of months ago because the wrong one came. This time it's the right one but it had loads of faults.

Forgot to say, I've still got a bad chest but it's getting better now, I'm sure it won't last as long as Maddie's bad chest.

Shelly, you might end up with very frizzy hair if you give yourself a shock. At least put your wellies on - so you'll be standing on rubber.

I'm in the middle of having my chicken curry. I walked home so I think I earned it!
It's been a lovely sunny day but I'm still wearing my hat,scarf, gloves etc.

There is a severe shortage of GIN and TONIC in Florida. Locals are up-in-arms that a certain English holiday maker has scoffed a vast quantity and left very little for them

Anyone know who it might be ?

Had my annual Check Up at the Doctors today.

'How much do you weigh ?' asked the Doc.

'11st 2lbs' says I.

He weighed me......13st 9lbs.....

'How tall are you?' he asked.

'5ft 10ins' says I.

He measured me.....5ft 6ins.

Then he took my Blood Pressure.....'Far too high' says he.

'Of course it is !' I said.

'When I came in here I was tall and slender. Now I'm short and fat'

Have another chuckle ! It'll do you good.......honest.

An elderly driver was pulled over by the Traffic Police.

' Do you realise your wife fell out off the car two miles back ? '

'Thank goodness' said the old chap.

'I thought I'd gone deaf ! '
