Morning everyone, I've already altered the time on the clock in the bedroom and on my mobile phone. I've done my shopping. I assuemd that the England v Wales match was on either the BBc or ITV .It isn't so I'll listen to it on radio 5 instead. You got me going there Stephen , I thought you'd be moving down South to the warmer climate and less snow......... Nice to see that Fluffy Paws has got a mention! I'm going to read now. x

Evening folks, hope everyone is well and shelly has done something about her tooth. Fin went home at 1.30 and by 2 I was asleep in my chair, lol. OH gone to pick up a Chinese takeaway, all that sleep has made me hungry. Will be back later, I want to get on the case of Alexander and Ethel Johnston and see if I can find any children born to them although I have been told years ago that they didnt have any -who knows-. I still want to find their marriage. Marilyn you are a treasure, what list did you find him on. Been a beautiful day sunny, still and warm = perfect. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ to all

Hi there everyone. I am wondering how Shelly is tonight, and hoping that she's not in to much pain. Maddie, I have been reading the book by Madhur Jaffrey, that I won in the raffle last Saturday. It's about her early life in India. I have to admit it's bit heavy going for little old me. Did you see on the news about the idiots, who caused trouble at todays march in London. Ordinary people were trying to make a point, and then the stupid no brainers decided to put there three penny worth in. I believe they said that three policemen had been injured. It's a good job you got out and about early this morning, and didn't get caught up in it.
Cath, I can understand your falling asleep, after Fin had gone home. When our three went home, after their visit this afternoon, both of us were exhausted. But it was lovely to see baby Lilly. She is so alert now, and she chuckles away when you tickle her under her chin. She has gained more weight, and now weighs 11lb 14oz. I am a bit worried, as the mother of the two eldest of my sons three children, is talking about emigrating to Australia, and taking them with her. I know I sound mean, but I hope she changes her mind, I want to be able to see them grow up.
Rita, I see that Oxford won the boat race then, I bet you wish you had placed a bet on them to win.

Mo, Lilly sounds lovely and is doing well. I can understand your worry about your grandchildren going to Australia (if it happens). Children grow up so fast and you'd miss so much, fingers crossed they will stay. Off to curl up with a book and a cuppa. Back in morning

Thanks for the laughs Dermot, just what I needed to cheer me up.
Have a good stretch out in the bed tonight Stephen, I just hope it's a warm night, or you will need to cuddle up to ' Fluffy Paws'. You must have worked hard doing that tiling, it's not like you to admit to being tired.
Shelly, you are very lucky that the tooth has stopped playing you up. But if it's still not good by monday, PLEASE pluck up the courage and go to the dentist, even if it's only to get some anti-biotics to clear any infection in your gum.

Mo,
I am rather tired, not had a really deep sound sleep for about a week or more.
Mrs Stephen has been wakening me up because she can't sleep......hot flushes she says.....bloody annoying I say.
Then once I'm awake I can't really sleep again.
Shelly.....Get that abscess fixed out, the poison will be all through your system and pulling you down.
The hills were so lovely today again. Bathed in sunshine and a few patches of bright white snow still clinging to the tops. Grand.
Having the family over for tea tomorrow. Home made Steak Pie......can you get anything better ? The steak is simmering gently just now and will be lovely and tender when it comes out from it's final cooking in the oven. Goodness my mouth is watering just thinking about it.
Mrs S leaves at 11pm and I'll see her around 5.30am when she gets back.
Night all

Your jokes were good Dermot! Shelley you'll feel better once you've gone to the dentist and got your tooth sorted. Honest! Stephen don't forget you get an hour LESS in bed. I don't think it would mske any difference to Fluffy Paws. I'm going to bed now. Going to start reading the story about the Accountant who's had up for money laundering! Night x

Morning friendlies, Shelly thanks for your help. Alexander was born 2nd December 1895 in Belfast, Ireland. Ethel was born 1896. I am sure they married between 1920 and 1929 and that marriage was in Belfast. I have read his army papers on Ancestry and he was still single when he was demobbed. Hope your toothache is not too bad but if you dont want to see dentist visit your GP for some antibiotics to clear up infection.
A wee bit chilly here this morning, hopefully the sun will be out later. Going to spring clean lounge this morning before the tribe arrive for lunch. Hope you all have a nice relaxing day. Dermot jokes made me laugh. Back later,
Cath xx

Morning All Why am I awake so early? Hubby left for work as usual at 5:00(4 in real time !!!)
Bit misty outside, but hopefully it will warm up a bit and I can get the bathroom mats washed & then dried outside today.
We had a nice meal at friends, the little one is the image of her Mum when she was the same age, they grow so quickly. Mum is 31 this year. Had to leave early as it was an hours drive home, even so we didn't get back toil after 10 and hubby went straight to bed while I read some of my book.
Didn't manage to get fence paint yesterday as the one our local shop had was a gallon tin and I wouldn't have carried it home. Oh well off to the DIY this week if I can persuade hubby after he finishes work.
Have a nice day today everyone
Linda :o) XxX
PS Morning Cath you posted while I was typing

Morning all,
What a glorious morning.....the sun is already splitting the heavens and showing the hills in wonderful shades of colour.
Linda.....It's a bit too soon to paint outdoors. The wood will still have a lot of moisture in it from the winter. That means your good work wont last very long. I would leave it until the end of May or at the earliest end of April as long as you have had dry weather and some heat from the sun for at least a week before you paint.
Family arriving for tea today. Seems I haven't seen them for ages. I look forward to our wee gatherings. We are not too far from them but we don't live in each others pockets so to speak.
Will be back later........gonna hang my washing out.
