Maddie you're not an old bag....well..you might be old but not a bag lol....runs away before I get a clout round the ear!!!

Its a bit dismissal today.......just sat here waiting for the Sun to come out as promised by the weather man last night ...some hopes.

Going out this after noon I think I may need something new to wear, cant have Maddie the only one dolled up !!

I don't know what has happened to the 18 degrees they forecast for today.
It's still blowing a gale, and is quite cold outside.

Maddie, stop telling porkies, you are NOT an old bag. The only old bags I saw, were the ones under my eyes.

Yvonne, I hope you did do a quick exit, as Maddie is fleet of foot, and would definately box your ears for you.
Fancy leaving your poor OH to suffer the cold, throwing the quilt of off him like that. Give him a cuddle, that will soon warm him up.

I don't like this, Rita has not been in to see us this morning. I hope to goodness she is o.k.

Marilyn, don't buy the shops up completely, leave some for the rest of us.

We have got to go to a friends this afternoon. She had a new boiler fitted,
just after christmas, and the fitter didn't explain how to work the controls.
She has still got the central heating blazing away, as she doesn't know how to change the controls. Roly is going to take a look at it for her, as we have got the same boiler.

A good friend of mine, has bought me to a lovely bone china mug and coaster, with William and Kate's portraits on them.
They have gone into my china cabinet, on display. I am not going to take them out of their boxes, as who knows, one day, in perhaps 150 years time, they may become collectable antiques. LOL

Perhaps the weatherman was having an April Fool's joke!
It's cold!
I've just come back from the library. I don't have to take my books back til May 6th! normally they would have gone back the 22nd but that's Good Friday and the following Friday is the Royal Wedding.

I have had it up to the eyeballs. I did not get my meds this morning my upstairs neighbour rang the bell and said he would collect them for me .? the chemist said they had one lot the others they didnt know what strenght they could give me due to my warfarin.? she said she had tried to get through to my doctor no luck and when she did the meds would be delivered this afternoon at 3.
So Ted went off to the hospital and said he would collect on his way home mean time I phoned my surgery had a job getting through when I did I explained it to the nurse, she said he is at the other surgery to phone him there and gave me the number

So I phoned got a chinese recepitionist who said she did not deal with perscriptions. I said I know I want to speak to the Doctor she said he is busy I will speak to him and phone you this afternoon? No I have to sort it now. I hung up.
Phoned the chemist the girl who answered said we dont have a perscription here for you. I said you do please check again. no we dont
right
I will speak to the chemist herself then. the chemist came on she said sorry about this Rita but I have been trying to get intouch with your Doctor as to what strenght we can give you. ? I said he is at the Woking Surgery you can phone him there? she said I have just phoned him and waiting for him to phone me back.. She said a Mr King called for your meds this morning and he is calling back on his way home from the hospital if they are here I will give them to him if not they will be deleievered this afternoon at 3 your will be first drop off.
I said this is so silly two days ago I should have had the medications.
please dont get upset you will get them.
1/2 hour afterwards Ted came across with my Medications, he said when I went in and asked for them the girl behind the counter said there was nothing there for you. so he told them. it was disgraceful what had been going on that I was ill and needed the perscr[tion and if they didnt have it in they should have handed to their other branch and got it sorted.

so you see it Has been APRIL the first for me in more ways than one.
I told my sister I think it is a scene out of A Carry on film.

What a mess. I hope you will soon get the medicines sorted and that you will get quick relief when you start taking them.

We went shopping this morning and spent far too much as usual. Food and basics seem to go up every week.

Still need to go to the DIY maybe in the morning as we had 2 unexpected visitors this morning. Our neighbour came in for coffee and hot cross bun, and a chat. Then after lunch an old aquaintance of hubby's popped in and stayed for an hour for chat and tea too.

Now we are going out for a curry night at the local golf course this evening.
Well it beats staying indoors and watching hubby's choice on TV while he sleeps !!! LOL

Oh Rita, what can I say. You have been pushed from pillar to post, and it's even worse because you are not well.
I hope you start to feel better soon, now that you have eventually got your medication.

Linda, I know what you mean about the prices rising. We went to get out big weekly shop this morning, and it has gone up by at least five pounds on last week. And yet we bought more or less the same things.
Stupid things like the kitchen roll, had gone up by fifteen pence, and thats just the basics brand.

I'm on my way to Maddies for my dinner, she's got trifle for afters, yummy.
I don't mind not having the dinner, but the dessert will go down a treat.

How many books did you get Pat. I hope you have enough to last you through the whole period.

Afternoon ladies, (bit sexist, but no lads here yet).
Rita I feel for you, how exasperating. Its enough to raise your blood pressure as well.
Mo and Rita I have to agree about the price of food shopping, horrendous.
We have none of the big uk supermarkets here (apart from Wa*&%rose, which only opened 2 weeks ago ) and prices are awful. Costs me a fortune to feed my tribe!! The coffee I drink has just gone up from £5.40 to £6.30 a jar, I don't know how they justify a rise like that.
Pat I've just bought some books to take with me on holiday as I can be sure of a bit of peace while i'm there.
Maddie do you have room for an extra for dinner, lol.

We are just getting in fish and chips later as we have to go out shortly to see a piece of Guernsey Granite we are taking to Ireland for my late father in laws headstone, we are having it cut down to size here and mother in law has someone in Ireland who will engrave it for us.

Also I've got the 3 days off between the 2 4 day week-ends so plenty of time to read!

Oh Rita, they made a bit of a pigs ear sorting out your meds, hopefully you've got what you need now and start to feel better.

Na na Maddie you missed lol
have you tried those long chiffon scarves, I've seen a lot of those, all pretty patterns and colours.
so it's all round to yours on Sunday, I love beef, is there yorkshires too, yummy.

Today I took a pair of jeans my son had bought, (well I paid for them) back to Mat***n he decided he didn't like them cos they had button fly instead of a zip and exchanged them for a blouse for me,

I' m not doing Breakfast as I notice that some folk are trying to get into 'Skinny' Jeans.

The last time I tried to get into 'Skinny' Jeans I got my face slapped. ROFL

Been rather busy the last few days......loads to do now that I can get working outside...........putting off cutting the grass as long as possible.

A neighbour sprinkles Whisky on his grass.......then it comes up half-cut.

Rita, Hope you get your Medication sorted once and for all. What a nightmare.
