No body answered my question yesterday about Google if they had a black strip across there where they tell you things like Maps. webs etc. I still have mine only thing I can read is Web my son reconds he has the normal strip.
If no one else has this I will have to contact them to find out why mine is affected.

Rita

I will let you know the outcome of that plant Agatha.

Morning, just popping in before I go out to visit my aunt. I've got my son off to the day centre and watered the tubs........... so I'm ready to go.

Rita, I've just had a look and my Google is the same as yours, must be a new thing.

Agatha, I think that's the bit Rita's talking about.

LOL at your unknown plant............ we could run a book on it, but you'd have to show us a photo first.

Marilyn, we don't pick up hitch-hikers either but it's a different world to when we were young.

Dermot, I used to thumb quite a bit when I was young but it seemed safer then - and I was never on my own either.

Rita

Rita Report 30 Jun 2011 12:14

Yes thats the bit I was speaking about. it has images, videos maps shopping things like that under the black strip. I emailed my son he said his was not like that but his friend next to him in the office was. so itappears some of have this others dont. ? I wonmder why that is ? perhaps we will get 3 D glasses issued so we can read the writing underneath.

I have never hitchhiked..when I was in the land army we got many ask us if we needed a lift but none of us took the chance. yet when my husband was alive and we saw someone in uniform with a board asking for a lift to a certain place he always stopped and gave them alift.until we had the children, then we didnt have room.

Up date on the black strip across Google page, it is an experiment they are doing. it is suppose to seperate the page so you have a clearer understanding. its not working for me.

They have had some complaints and there is a way of getting rid of it and going back to normal but it appears it is a lot of trouble.
so lets hope they find people dont like it and go back to as it was before they did this.

Rita

Rita Report 30 Jun 2011 20:47

Shelley you will have to give me a reminder on that day so I can watch the programme

Did you take more photos of the graves ?

I am looking for graves in Portsmouth cemetary hoping I might find my Great Uncle Walter Lee. I would email them but have no idea when he died it was after 1911 he was still alive then.

I have not added any of the other family to my tree yet. I dont seem to get the time at the moment

I have spent to day moaning about my aches and pains not to anyone only to myself. one straighjacket needed.

did anyone watch the one show where they showed you the hulk ships that were used as prisions . my god it was horrendious. little children died on that ages 8 and 9 years old. given 12 years for theft, yet some of those in jail today live the life of riley.

Thank goodness that does not happen in this day and age.

Morning all,
looks like it's going to be another beautiful day :-D
Hope everyone is well.
I expect to be worn out by lunchtime as I'm taking mother shopping this morning and have two youngest grandchildren as well.
Jean the two horses in the field next to our house were racing up and down in the night making all kinds of noise, very unusual as we don;t hear them at all most of the time. Hope they are alright.
Not like Stephen to be on the missing list :-S
Have a good day whatever you're up to :-D :-D :-D

It was a sad thing for all those having to serve their sentences on the Hulk ships. and little children like that all those years for a small theift they may have been starving. ?
I feel ashamed of what was done to them I am pleased we have advanced now and they do not suffer like that.
but in saying that some of these people need to be given a rough sentence because we have gone from the curel side to the easy side now adays.

Hope everyone had a good day. it looks nice outside. I am going to have a shower and wash my hair thenh get sown to doing some real housework. had just 2 hours sleep last night,

Hope you have good weather at the caravan Agatha, it's not very warm here - sunny but a bit nippy.

Cath, it might have been a good idea to take a couple of headache tablets before you go out......... might help you to cope with your day. :-D

I think Mo must have gone on that cruise without me, I was looking forward to it as well. :-)

Marilyn, I bet you've upset Stephen, if he'd known you were going to put your nurses uniform on for him - he'd have pretended to be ill............ nice to have him back though.
