MotownGal Report 8 Aug 2011 20:40

Evening all,

Scary or what?

There is trouble in Enfield, Tottenham, Lewisham, Peckham, Hackney. Most of Tottenham and Harringay are cordoned off. There may be some trouble in Croydon too. Keep turning on the rolling news.

I may be down in Devon next year, now that I have this family tree bug. My crew came from Bradninch, Morchard Bishop, Cheriton, Tiverton, Silverton and somewhere else that escapes me for the mo. lol

I just fancy wandering around the graveyards looking for familiar names.

The sky over north London is black. I cant quite decide if it is the dusk, rain or smoke.

Everyone keep well and safe.

Battening down the hatches.

Thank you Marilyn.for looking up Sheldon. my sister and I laugh as one of our McCallum married a Sheldon and we have a large family named Sheldon/ someone got intouch with me a few years ago and asked if he could log our Sheldons into his website he has thousands of them listed.
we told him it was OK.

Shelly poor you in the thick of it. I know what I would like to do with the so and so.s. young boys aged 8 and upwards are involved. your not telling me when they have looted and go home with there stolen goods their parents dont know they were looted from some one. I am sick to death of hearing these do gooder saying they are only doing this as they are out of work , poor and have nothing to do. . so are many more but they dont loot or do damaged to people properties. yet they are contacting each other on blackberrys to tell them where the trouble is and come and join in the looting. poor with a blackberry phone I dont think so.
I say call the army out now to work with the police..

Mo in Kent Report 9 Aug 2011 09:14

Morning all.
For goodness sake, what on earth is going on in this country. There was trouble here in Medway last night, fires being set etc. but not nearly as bad as where Maddie and Shelly live.
The poor poor people, who live and have businesses in the areas have been hit very badly.
Stay safe Maddie and Shelly. Shelly if you have to go shopping, take your shopping bag with a brick in the bottom of it, to clout any rioters round the head with it, dont stick one of the kids baseball bats in yer bag though, coz you will be the one in trouble if you get caught with it. lol

((((((((((((HUGS FOR LINDA)))))))))))))) I hope you feel better soon love.

A big hello to Marilyn, Rita,Cath, George,Foggy, Pat, Agatha,Yvonne, Dermot, Stephen,Sue, Lady, and any of our friends I may have forgotten to mention.

Oh thank you very much Mo, I think I was the only one you missed out *sulking now*. :-) :-)

Sorry I haven't been on much the last couple of days but my son and husband are both in the house all day at the moment. We'll be going out soon if the weather holds, it's been raining for 3 days now but it's dry today.

Just raiding my freezer and shoving it down the cyber hatch for Shelly............ keep the hatch open Shelly. If all else fails I'll post it to you.

Take care all of you who live in or near the troubled areas. I agree with you Rita, they need to bring the armed forces in.

Be back when I get the chance.

Apparently, all police leave has been cancelled for now. Those currently on holiday are being encouraged to return to work early.

This includes office based staff too.

she must be as bad as you Marilyn. feet to itchy.

I still have not brought my dress for my granddaughters wedding I need shoes and a handbag as well. but as my feet are so swollen I cannot get the right type of shoes.I like and can wear.

My sister said you cant let the bride down being her only grandmother . so I will probaly end up going to Oxford street to see if I can get something there.

Just heard from my son, the police have advised that the business where he works should close early, as two of the retail units close by were attacked last night, and the police have been on duty outside all day.
The poor police have got a lot to contend with at the moment.
Why don't they use the water cannons on the rioters, but put dye in the cannons, so that the rioters would be covered in a colour that would not come of. They would stand out from a crowd then, and be arrested a lot quicker.
I just hope my son gets away from the area as quickly as possible.

Afternoon, Mo, Rita,Dermot,Pauline,MotownGal,PatricaAnn and Agatha.

So, what have you all been up to today, I hope you've all been behaving yourselves..LOL.

I went to visit the old boy today, just to see if he was ok, then into Basingstoke to their shopping centre, quite good., had something to eat there as I didn't feel like doing any cooking this evening, and caught the train home.

I wont make any comments regarding what is going on with all the trouble as I think my views wouldn't go down too well on here..lol.

Hi everyone,
The funeral I went to was ok but there weren't any flowers and the priest didn't really talk about the lady that died. :-S
The rest of the day went ok.
I'm going to watch the football match on ITV 4. Celtic Legends v Man Utd legends.
Rita your sister's braver than me going off on a safari by hereself. There's loads of places in Europe I haven't seen yet :-(

Rita if you order the shoe tailor catalogue, you can do this online, and they sell shoes in extra wide fittings and they are really nice, I have trouble getting shoes as my feet are small but wide and i find the shoe tailor shoes really good.
