Morning Girls

I have sat here and had such a laugh with you all . I really mean that it is one f the biggest laughs I have had for ages.

I can picture Marilyn in the shop getting hotter and hotter and hubby standing there wondering whether he should go or stay. They can get sherky when the feel like it but they soon get over it when they want something. it is a long time ago since I went through all that.
My daughter had one of those green house Marilyn she has had it a few years now and it is so handy for her she said she sows seeds now and saves money and can put pot plants in when it is frosty as they get a cer tain amount of pertection.
Linda I use to have Love Lies Bleeding and they use to grow like mad I used them for flower arranging I also had another bush it was called Jews (something or other ) and grew like mad.it had lovely little yellow flower like balls on it. and another one I really loved was called Iberie I think it was Umbellate somethink like that the man in the flat above me has a big flower pot outside my front room window with one in it has lovely coloured leaves on as well as flowers..I go to the nursey at Longacres the one I sometimes go to is in Bagshot.

I got carried away with the last remarks I meant to say this morning when I got up at 6. I opened the bedroom window (which I have open all the time usually) and I had a terrible smell of solpher I had to shut the window quickly it still stayed in the room so I had to get a spray out. surely it cannot be from the Volcano ? it was terrible.

I heard on the news that the schools open to day and some of the teachers are still abroad unable to get home even the children who were on a school holiday are starnded .

Cant be doing with it ..LOL

But he will love my flowers when they are all potted, he even waned to move my Green house to a more suitable place in the garden...
.so I let him..Sighs !

Got Grand daughter again today.. back to School tomorrow.

Our schools are back today so it gave out on the radio I wondered how many children will be missing who are stranded a broad with their parents or school teachers..
My nephew had to cancel his holiday in America to Cyprus he said he managed to get his money back but had to paid some for the hotel he had booked , he is going to try again in three weeks time. I said good job you had not booked the Kennels where he takes his dog to when he goes away for the US Goverment or holidays.
That is the trouble when you have animals and no one to look after them booking kennels in the hight of the holiday season.

i got up this morning and fant an extra body in the house
my eldest son must be on nites and finnish about 3/4 he probley couldent be bother to ride his bike home so can to me insted
trubble is i dont no what time to get him up as he must have work tonite as well

and i havent done much house work i carnt put the hover on

you have a good reason now not to do your house work and use the hoover. lol just enjoy the day have fun.

If he gets up a regular time he will wake up on his own otherwise stand outside his door and whistle.

Hi everyone

been a bit busy so haven't been on for a couple of days but have caught up with the gossip. It was OH's bithday on Saturday and we had a lovely meal out

Marilyn I get annoyed with my OH when we go shopping, he hates it. On Friday we went to B&Q to order flooring for the kitchen and downstairs loo, written the measurements down and knew what I wanted but there was no one to take the order, he just stood there and let me run around the shop looking for an assistant, anyway a young lad tannoyed for someone and still we waited and waited so off I goes again to find someone and OH is still standing there like a lemon. In the end no one came to take the order so I walked out, I'll look elsewhere, Oh is always the same when we look for stuff for the house, I end up choosing and ordering and sorting out dates

Get off me box now lol

Did lunchtime at school today but son doesn't go back till tomorrow then he's got 5 weeks to his GCSE's

A friend's daughter is stuck in France, hopes to get a ferry tonight

he is up now has to be at work by 6pm so now he want me to cook for him
so will do a quick early dinner for every one then re-cook for hubby when he comes in.

a womens work is nether done lol

I know the Birth/Marriage and Death certificates have gone up can you tell me how much they have gone up to please.
If I have the wrong parents I get some money back I think ? I might have to send off for a certificate if marilyn dose not find the one I am looking for.

rita think it was £9 some think so you mite as well say thay have gone up to a tenner im still whating to get some new certs but think ill what a bite longer till thay have cleard there back log as it looks like some peeps are still whatimng

Hi all,
Just a quickie to let you know that I have not forgotten you all.
I have got darts tonight. The fours knockouts. I am not very hopeful,as my partner and I have been lumbered with two people who do not normally play darts. Thats typical off our skipper,she picks her favourites to play with her,and Eve and I get left with the odds and sods. Still miracles can happen I suppose.

I had a call earlier the lady that was taking me to the hospital tomorrow for my scan cannot take me she had an accident with her car and the windcreen is all cracked so I think they are geting someone else to take me I have to wait till tomorrow to find out for sure. I go with Goldsworth Care .
I am not allowed to eat anything for four hours before so I can have something at 7,30 and nothing till after 1 oclock. so I wont be on here till later on in the day..

Another busy day yesterday. Spring cleaning all upstairs windows in and out................ helped by hubby. Washing Ironing Food Shopping.

Enjoyed ourselves with our friends.

Still sorting out the hen weekend. Off on Friday, so I won't be online again until late Monday. So please don't worry about me thinking I am missing will you all?

Rita it was the Longacres at Bagshot that we went to, I think it is the only one. It's a paradise in there, spend far too much money even if there are cheaper prices as I choose so many things !!!

Off to the dentist this afternoon. Only a check up but I lost a crown at Christmas so he will be cross with me as I haven't been to see him. No pain so I kept puttin it off with all the other health issues.

I sat here this morning having my last cup of tea and biscuit till 1oclock as I have my scan today and must not eat or drink till 1 oclock today.
I found I could not post it. it kept saying you are off line I dont know why as I had already replied t some emails and some threads on here,
This was 7. 15 so I shut down and restarted the computer.

I wanted to ask Shelley do you know any cemeteries in the Portsmouth area. My sister and I thought we might pop down there sometimes this year for the day and have a look around to see if we could find any Lee family .

Also Marilyn if she knows any in her aera Plymouth.


The sun is out and the sky is blue what a difference from yesterday.

Hi everybody, I had company all day yesterday so I didn't have the chance to come on here.

I've got the heating engineers here today and tomorrow so we'll have no hot water or heating for 2 days (and it's cold). I've just emptied both the airing cupboards so they can get to the boiler and the tank. God, I've come across some things I haven't seen for years, I forgot I had most of it. I don't know how I managed to get so much stuff in 2 cupboards.

Edit: Marilyn that cuppa went cold and I need a coffee so I'll make fresh ones.

one of my distant relation I found in Devon her ancestors married into my Lee family. 2 of them.
She is the curator of the Lace Museum in Honiton and helps people over seas with some of their question on where their relations were bornI l get intouch with her when she is on duty at the lace Museum but she had records of Baptisim and I checked with her she said he was Isaac Walter Lee Baptised on the register 26th September 1873 and it gave his father as Absalom Lee a farm Labourer.
when I was in Devon a few years ago I use to go to her every morning and search on her fich machine. that was how I found so many of our relation and ancestors, what did you mean when you said he was never registered at PRO ?
I know the photo I have of Walter in unifrom is mine his relation sent it too me one of his sisters daughters husband had it on the garage walls for years. The thing was My grandfather and Walter signed to go into the forces the year their father died Absalom in 1889 Walter went into the Navy he said he was born 4th Ooctober 1871 yet he was born in 1873 my grandfather Fredrick was born in 1869 his brother Abslom was born 1871 Grandfather went into the forces in 1891
Walters papers he signed his birth as 4th October 1871 to me it appears he used the date he signed on 4th october as his birthday and the year he would have been able to get into the Navy. I have him on the census.he was born in September 1873 so you can see how I am struggling to see if he d ropped his Isaac right through his life and was known only as Walter.wondered if it would have been legal to have married or have died without using his first name Isaac.
