Morning all

Shelly I cannot send you a get well card as I am not anygood at doing that on the computer so I will just say GET WELL SOON SHELLY.

I have been doing the washing so I have to run back and forwards to the laundryroom although I am the nearest to it where I am.but as I changed the beds as well and did the towels as well as all my little bits Lol. it is nearly done now in the dryer another thirty minutes and it will be finished, someone gave me 20 new books for the laundryroom libbarary I starfted that when I moved here 7 years ago so people take a book of the shelf read it and put it back they also add books.

I hope your dad has a good time in ireland I would love to go to Southern Ireland I have heard a lot about that do you know what part he is going too, ?

Linda I too and pleased you are not dibetic my daughter has lots o problems as she is and I have three friends all with itt theres is age related so they told me ?

By the way do you recall a few days ago I was saying what Gran said " Never cast a clout till May is out ?"

well I have found where that came from it was from Farming the word Clout is what the fa rmers called there cloches (our word for them ) it appears they use to beware of the frost and kept these clouts (clouches ) olver there growing food because of the frost which stayed till May then they removed them so this was moved to removing winter clothing like a coat.
I read it in a book on farming in the hospital yesterday isnt that strange..

Rita, we had a thick May frost this morning, when I got up and looked out of the window, all the lawns and rooftops were white. We even had a little bit of snow yesterday, only lasted 10 minutes but it was big flakes.

Shelly, have you taken anything for your cold? Do you usually feel sick when you have cold? I think you need to go back to bed. Hope it doesn't last long.

Marilyn, your dad obviously doesn't think of himself as being old, maybe that's why he looks so young. Hope they enjoy their holiday, I've heard a lot about Southern Ireland as well, it's supposed to be beautiful.

Linda, I hope little M is OK, is she still in hospital?
Glad you enjoyed your meal last night, I feel sorry for you and Marilyn - not being able to finish your meal off with a pudding.

Wonder if Liz managed to do anything constructive yesterday........lol

Mo, you sent all that medication down the cyber hatch to Shelly and I don't think she took any of it, because she's still ill.

Pauline not sure what area you live in but I saw this morning on TV that some had frost and even snow,
I went and did some shopping this morning across to Waitrose and it was fine the weather but it has started to get dark now so I expect we will have rain but the news on Radio just now for the weekend weather said it will start warming up so lets hope so.

I have just got one of the Post Cards my sister sent me (she has been home two weeks. ) this one was from Nazareth "The Church of Annuciation" and the little picture in the card are really lovely. I dont know when I will get the others. .
Think I will get myself another cup of tea. just had a salad for my diinner .

not watching Tv it is driving me mad all this Election on and on the same old pictures and talking to the say OLD men.

Awwwhhhh Shelly,why have you not used all the medicine I sent you.
If you are feeling sick,it could be that you have got phlegm on your chest.
You may have a chest infection,and need anti-biotics.
It's not surprising theres so many things going around,the way the weather has been,is it.

Bless your dad Marilyn,he has no intention off sitting on his bum doing nowt,does he.
Good for him. It's just a pity that the insurances go up,so drastically,when a person reaches a certain age.

It sounds like your sisters cards went round the world before you got them Rita. But still nice to receive them though. And you were expecting them.

And today is lovely and bright and sunny.

Shelly have i got to get my knitting needles out and knit baby clothes ?or is it a virus you have there is one going about it causes couighs and sickness last three days.

weight so I am going to be very careful what I eat.

all these have different things I am not allowed to eat . trouble is one says certian fruits and greens the other fats and citrus fruits

As I cleared out my wardrobe it suddenly looked bare ......so I HAD to fill in the gaps .LOL

Now I have just had Bubble & Squeak ...all the roast potatoes & veggies from last night with chicken, hmm it was delicious.

Oh my god, Rita dont wish pegnancy on poor Shelly. Can you imagine,the baby would have a nephew older than itself,so as Marilyn said put them needles away. Mind you, you could always knit something for Liz's, sort off
step grandchild.

Oh poor you Marilyn,you can't have a space in your wardrobe,you have to fill it up with new clothing.
Don't worry we will speak up for you when Pete gets the bill through.
We will tell him you were a good girl and gave your old things to the charity shop. And that for your good deed,you deserved new clothes. LOL

Being in the London radio and TV area we get the same news as the main news more politics. it is sick.
dont they have anything else to speak about no other news ?

Actually Rita,I am surprised that Marilyn and Pete had their wedding anniversary the other day,and not a divorce. I bet he dreads looking at his bank statements. Poor man. LOL
I have to lie,if I buy anything new. IM INDOORS,goes ballistic. So I have got this magic wardrobe,that makes new clothes for me. And they have been stuck up there for ages,and he has never noticed them.
It's awful when you have to be so secretive. But hey, anything for a peaceful life.

Must have been all those paracetamols , see I am a good nurse and I do like to look after MY Special Friends.

Now after 44yrs our money is mine...LOL so no point in Pete telling me what I can or cannot buy, I turn a deaf ear cause that's what I've got ..LOL

I'm off tomorrow for lunch in a Country Pub.a pay back thing as Pete helped some rellies to book a holiday to Australia this year as they could not have done it without him , all done on line hotels etc etc.... and found them a good deal.
So being picked up so we can have a drink......now that's kind of them, don't you think ?

So off to bed soon........Shelly you had best to go as well, remember you might think your better ,but you may not be .LOL

when I lost my husband in 1989 I came down from Norfolk to nurse my daughter who was very ill and my daughter in Law took me to see someone who told me she didnt want any money and not to speak while she told me things I didnt beleive in it at all. but she told me things even my daughter in law didnt know and it was correct all came true she even told me I would not marry again two things never happened but there is still time.she was a friend of Doris Stokes I expect you have heard of her. she was famous as a medium.

Not bad here today, just a glimpse of sun.

I'm fed up with lighting fires and wearing winter clothes,last night I had to put on the central heating after I froze in the bedroom.

Out this lunch time........let you know how I get on .
