I must admit I am partial to a whiskey & coke ........when the wine gets boring and its not that often ,,,LOL a Whiskey & Coke is very refreshing with ice cubes .

I cant say I know any difference in the tastes of any Whiskey brands , but I bet you can Stephen...

Stephen with a menu like that she cannot be ill . she must be pretending as she likes your cooking. . your spoiling her. I think I had better come up there and cook for her she will be well in no time.;

I have a contact on my Mother said of the family our Scottish side and I am so pleased. she gave me intoframtion I didn have about my Gt Gt Grandfather brother and my Gt Gt Granparents. now I am having to look for information on one. who had been in the navy .the last time I had searched and then I lost him .but he has appeared again now. so it looks like I am back to my Scottish roots.

I still have my missing Abslaom on my father side. where can he be and what did he do. ?

Marilyn.

There is no 'e' in Whisky.

Whisky take it's name from 'Uisge' (ooskay) which means Water.

'Uisge Ba'.....the Water of Life

A wee Gaelic lesson

Dinner over......we survived.

Mrs has suddenly come back to life.

I don't suppose it has anything to do with whats on the telly ?

Strictly Come Dancing and now the X Factor.

She will probably go comatose when they are finished !!!!!

What a beautiful night it is.

Full Moon, Clear Sky, Stars Shining.
No wind....metrologically speaking.
Going to be frost again tonight.

Back again, like a bad penny.

Yes I DO like a drink in moderation. We have a bottle of plonk Fri, Sat and Sun. Not in the week cos we have to get up for work.

I was scared to mention it since Stephen and Co. came to my house. He made disparaging remarks about the amount of empty bottles. lol

Our recycling men come when they feel like it. Sometimes really early. So if you miss them ............ thats it for another week. I HAD TWO WEEKS WORTH, when you snuck into my house. Honest.

Maybe if I am really cheesed off, and have a vodka and coke.

Stephen, there is not much you can tell me about the Scouts. My Dave was a Beaver, Cub, Scout, Young Leader. I was a Scout Leader too for a time. NO, not like Joyce Grenfell.

A scout smiles and whistles under all difficulties. [Try telling him that when he is drowning] lol

Quite hard when you take them to camp. You cannot go to bed until the little buggers are in bed, and you have to be up before them. Then we have the nightmares, sickness, bedwetting etc. I counted the days until we came home, and I could sleep in my own bed, and not a sleeping bag, on a camp roll, on the hard floor.

But ................................ it was good fun.

Strictly was good. Downton Abbey on soon.

Bliss. Sunday night zombie tv.

Morning All !

(_)?(_)?(_)?(_)?(_)?(_)?

Tea or Coffee, Toast, Cereals, Fruit Juice.

(_) Medicine for Mrs Stephen
She has had a good sleep. Hopefully when she wakens she will be feeling better. It takes a lot to keep my lovely wee lass feeling down.

What a lovely morning again. Clear Sky, Full Moon, Stars,
and as expected Frost.

The drive to work should be magic. The snow has gone from the local hills but I should see some on the tops of the higher ones in the distance once I get to the top of the Glen.

Have a good day ya all.

Had a closer look at the shoots coming up all over my flower beds.....Yes, it certainly is my Daffodils, I have hundreds all round the front and back gardens and many are now popping up above the surface. A wee bit early !!!!!!!!!

I hope your check-up goes well today. I do hate these hospital visits. they make you so stressed.
I dread the eye hospital tomorrow as I no my eyes are getting worse..

Yes my Kitchen is about 9 x 6 it is very tiny. in my Bungalow in Norfolk It had a farm house type kitchen ,unite.s right round.had a double oven built in. Hob unit a Fridge. Freezer and large washing Machine and lots of
spare room it led into sun=lounge so when I came here it took ages for me to get use to this little thing. my bathroom had been bigger than this kitchen. still there is only me now.

We have sun shine now but it is very cold the frost is still on some of the cars. I bet it will be extra cold tonight.

I am going to do a ham and lentil soup for dinner. need some warmth.
must go and get the washing out of the dryer now.
be back later.

Hi everybody, we've got sunshine today but the water barrels were frozen this morning.

I've been busy on the phone most of the morning trying to get son's wheelchair repaired. The brake was a one-off job specially made for him because he takes the brakes off and shoots off if you turn your back on him. It's not safe for him to be using it without the brake, but the day centre said they'd make sure he wasn't in any danger.

My phone calls have been passed from one office to another all morning. When I finally got the right office.............the person who orders one-off fittings is on holiday. Plus the man who might be able to do a temporary repair on it is on holiday as well. Wonder if they went off together. Anyway - that was a wasted morning!

Rita, at least you didn't get the chance to be bored yesterday, and you got all your little jobs done. Did you have a list for your son?

Marilyn it'll take a long for my toe to mend, it'll be weeks before the swelling goes down. I'm going to look pretty stupid walking around in sandals if it snows.

Afternoon everyone

sunshine but a bit cold here, a bit frosty this morning when I took the dog out

hope Mrs Stephen is feeling better today

Son had his first driving lesson yesterday, he said it was great and has booked again next Sunday.

Half term this week so I'm not at work lunchtimes. I'm doing Sundays in the toy shop up to Christmas, I see a lot of the children from school there, they are always surprised to see me.

OH put some winter flowering pansies in the pots on the patio last week, don't know if they'll do very well we don't get any sun in the back garden in winter
