Jean I hope that the medication has worked but if not I am sure there is somebody on the boards that can give you advice. Also don't forget the Breast Cancer Charity, and MacMillan too. I have to go back to the dermatologist in about 6 weeks.Well after Christmas and New Year anyway. They were running so late the booking clerk had gone home by the time we saw the consultant. I carry on with the scalp lotion and have a prescription for cream to use where I used to have eyebrows !!!
Well off to bed now. Hubby will be up at 5:00, hopefully I will sleep later.
Catch up tomorrow
Linda :o) XxX

It's Saturday..........or is it.......another busy day ahead.........I think I should have gone to Florida for a rest. LOL
The run up to the Year end is always a busy time for everyone. This year I seem to be busier than ever.
She who must be obeyed, will be wanting the Christmas decorations brought down from the loft in the next week or so. Seems like I just put them up there. The year has flown in I like when the house is 'made up' for Christmas and New Year it brings a bit of brightness to these dark days.
After the grandchildren arrived Christmas was 'special' again. I love to see their wee faces as they open their presents.
They don;t get totally spoiled though. We're not that kind of family.
The children also know we are celebrating the birth of Jesus.
On Christmas day the church provides a Lunch for the Homeless. Always well attended. I go from that to a Castle for a family do.......the contrast is unbelievable.
We support the homeless throughout the year. Food parcels and Home Packs every Thursday and a breakfast every Sunday. Clothing packs are given also
A wee bit of help to those less fortunate than us, for whatever reason.
Now that I've finished that epistle I better get ready for the daylight arriving.
Catch you all later........GR permitting that is !!!!!!!!!!!!

Dermot I do hope the miners come out of this alive and well. I dont think they are down as far as the Camp Hope ones were ? . I dont know if that is a good thing or bad.? I have miners in my family some in Wales and some in County Durham. Bishop Auclands. but I have not heard from them for years.
Jean my mother had that operation in 1968 they have advanced so much more since then. . I have spoken to people who have had the operation within the last two years and all have said they are clear now and thankfull for being able to have the operation. so try and put your mind at rest dear, they would not sujest it if they didnt think it would be right for you. but dont jump the gun your scan might turn out fine and you will have been worrying for nothing.
Stephen I think you are doing a good job with the Homeless it is a shame we have to have homeless people but we have always had them,as far back as I can recall. but we do seem to be having more and more. My sister supposrts the homeless charities and her church do all they can for them.
Jean your showing off with your cooking and tea cups Lol. you had better give me a few lessons. Shelly glad your dinner was on time fancy not having eggs in I always have them as a standby. you should have whistled and I would have brought them to you on my broomstick it is alway ready on standby for emergencies.
Linda you seem to be Ok with your Hospital results then. thats good.

With the increasing interest in electric vehicles, will Americans still hit 'the gas' upon accelerating, or have they started using another term? 'Stamp on the amps' or 'Jolt the volts'?

Hi everybody.
Rita, I've tried everything, nothing works.
Jean, my aunt had a mastectomy when she was 50, she's nearly 93 now and still going strong. If you need to have one I'm sure it'll all go well.

There was so much breakfast this morning that we could have invited the whole site..........no black pudding though.

Oh for goodness sake Shelly, kids. That means he will be in plaster all over christmas. I hope he can manage the loo on his own, I certainly would not have liked to have to wiped my son's BTM, I know what smelly little B's they can be at that age. Serves him right for showing of, but then we have all been guilty of that at some time or another.
Dermot, electric wheelchair users around this way, should be given speeding tickets. They have no thoughts for others on foot, especially for us of the older generation. I have been nearly run over by them on several occasions. And I understand that they may need them, but when out in cars, drivers are warned to be careful in built up areas, because of pedestrians.
I hope you are surviving the grandaughter invasion Jean. We are waiting for our youngest two to turn up. As soon as they have gone, out comes the hoover to clear up the residue of crisps etc.
Is there anymore news on the NZ disaster, as I have not as yet caught up with the news. Roly is watching the darts on ITV4, hence my being on here a bit earlier.
Pauline I always seem to miss the breakfast club. Maybe we should start a luncheon club, so that it is still warm by the time I get here. I think I will make the afternoon drinks for us all. (**)? Shelly that must have been a really nasty fall to break his arm in 3 places, hope he didn't cry in-front of his girlfriend. Trust Mo to think of him wiping his bum......lol
I've just had a letter from Northumbria police, caught on camera doing over 30mph.

During the forthcoming festive season, the expression ‘never again’ is a regular phrase.
Why do we bother saying it when we know full well from past experiences that we will more than likely do the same things again the following year. It's nearly as bad as 'I've learnt my lesson'.
Meaningless twaddle.

It's taken me a while to get back on here, I had to sign in on a very strange page, it looked as though my only choices were 'in box', 'search trees' or 'account'. It took me a while to notice that there was a button in the top right hand corner to take me to the home page. I've had to enlarge everything as well because I could hardly see the writing.
Every time I come on I find something else has changed.
Shelly, your son's girlfriend must have a very uncomfortable ride home at night........LOL

Change......want a laugh ?
We had our wedding photo next to our telephone.....a local came to use our phone.......looked at the photo......then at my wife.....wondering.....
'That was my first husband' explains my wife'.
Soon the word was out.
' I was a very understanding person, allowing the photo of my wifes first marriage to remain on display'
Yep! I've changed beyond recognition since I got married. ROFL
