the reason I ask is the men had red button holes ( Flowers ) and so did mine ,now my dressmaker told me that it is custom to have red before midday as mine was at midday she said that's what the men should wear .....

I am awaiting Stephen & Dermots Photo's ..... Stephen we will settle without the Tablets ...they are no good for you only make you tired afterwords ,,LOL

Never tried water tablets Stephen.

But I guess you could always float !! rather than swim ..LOL

My wife and I were in New York, Central Park, when a Wedding group arrived to have photographs taken.

All the guests were wearing black.

I asked them the reason for this and was told it was to highlight the attire of the bride and groom, both in white, and also the colours of the best man and bridesmaids, they were wearing bright red.

Got me thinking !!!!!! And boy is that hard to do.

Thanks for the breakfast. Needed a cuppa And the bun was just great.

I've been out since 5.30am doing a couple of urgent wee jobs. Now I can relax for half an hour before the next round of work I've got to do today.

Also looks like a trip up the loft at some point to get the Christmas decorations down. She, who must be obeyed, has ordered it.

morning all.
It is dismal this morning but I suppose it could be worse. ? so must be graeful I am still around.

I need to pop across to the chemist this morning that will be a far as I go today unless ?

My ceiling light in the front room has gone so I have only the small standard lamp one to see by and it was so dismal last night. I kept dropping off to sleep. cat naps as you might call them.
Now I have to try and get someone to put the new bulb in for me.
Our Estate manager said she is not allowed to health and safety.
I think they would rather I fell from the ladder than try and help.

so I am looking for a man to do it for me.. the first one I see come on this estate I will lasoo him. otherwise I will have to use the pull call for help. and they send someone from a couple of miles away to put a bulb in for me. that is what they call progress.
so dont get old and have to rely on help. it does not help either moving into a retirement flat.

Had a nice walk to see the nurse at the Dr.
Well guess what my weight is about the same
I must be eating a maintenance diet LOL
Trouble is I am supposed to be trying to loose some to ward off the diabetes.

She had now given me a new portion control diet which is no more than 1200 calories a day !!!
I have to go and see her again after Christmas so that a little bit longer than before. Wonder how I will do.

I have a new bulb in the center light in my front-room. Ted the man in the flat above me came and did it he is 88 years old and his sight is bad.he asked me why my light had nor been on last night and I told him. he said he would do it , I said no, I dont think that is safe but he insistered.

When the Estate Manager came out of her door I asked her if I pull the "anchor cor" who do I ask to come and fit a light bulb in for me.?
her reply they dont . they do electrics but not fitting bulbs in. what do I do then.? her reply ask a neighbourough to do it for you . I said the neighbours are all as old as myself or older. and what about the health and safety you keep going on about.? I said in that case will you put the next light bulb in for me when it goes. ? no I am not allowed
then what am I supose to do. ? get your daughter to do it. (she is nursing her husband who has cancer and lives near London)
The other son lives in London and is a paramedic on shift work. my other sun is a computer consultant for BT on call out standby he lives about three miles away.
I would not advise anyone who is thinking of going into a retirment flat or house and hope to have help.from people . because you are wasting your time.
the managememnt meetings are held once a month on a morning in the time they are suppose to be on duty incase you need advise and you pay for that.
They run the retirment flats for them not for you. all the benfits go to them.
so you can see how bitter I am about it all.
