mo i dont have a fire we only have radeatters and we done have one in the kitchen or the bath room and down stairs loo and the up stairs landing dont have one thats why it so cold in this house
but i will cook dinner very soon as that is the only time the house will warm up

thats why im hibernating my fingers are to cold to tyip

dont no some time in year 2013
thay keep putting the year up it did very first start off 2008 then it want up tp 2010 but now its 2013 hopefully thay want put it up again but i still want the same as i allready have a 5 bedroom house and 5 beds are heard to get

and most of the properties are enpty were i am or have already been knock down thay have took away 3 tower block near me at least 21 floor hight
there is i think it was 5 earas in my patch that every one has to move from and my patch is 4th in line

Shelly why don't you invest in one of those hot air machines that blow nice and hot wherever you go in the house you can get them quite reasonable, under £20 I use one sometimes in the kitchen when first start to cook.

If you have an extension cable you could even put it in the loo !!

Put it on your Christmas list .....see I know what you want for Christmas .

Now that's two things so far .

Hot air machine.
All in one blanket .

Now put the list on the table for all the family to see .....easy !!

Shelly, I think they're waiting until all your family have been married and moved out, so they can give you a smaller house.

If there are empty house next to you, up or down or through the walls, you will have a problem keeping your house warm.
If you have curtains that can pull shut make sure you close them. But dont shut out the sunlight that comes through any window.....that will help heat the room.
Hard to advise when I don't know your property.

A friend has been on the phone.....the snow has been blown into drifts 10Ft deep outside his house.

My 4ft is bad enough....pity him though at that depth

I have no snow here at the moment it has been forcaste for tomorrow and it is that cold it might just be right for once..

Last year it was so bad I was trapped in te flat for four weeks didnt dare venture out.

The nurse had to come and do my wafarin blood test because I could not go out..

stephen i live in a corner house and we dont get much sun comeing in a big tower block in the way
now if it was summer then that is diffrent as i then have a nice call house with a lovely brezz
but winter is very cold here

marilyn them heater will cost to much money to run
i can put at lest £40 in the gas a week just for heating i have to have pay as you go other wise the bill come in way to much same with the eletrick
so i no only to well what it is like for old people to try and keep warm

Do you have Hot Water Radiators in each of your rooms run from a Gas Boiler ?
Does your front door open straight to the outside or into a stairway or close.? Do you have a back door ?

Is your Electric for lighting, telly, etc only or do use it for an Immersion Heater for Hot bathwater or shower.

Its not 20c here its 30c .....just a bit different it got to (96 degrees today .

And boy that was hot !!

Now cooling off with a beer .

yes we have hot water radiators that run off the gas boiler NO LIVEING ROOM FIRE
we dont have radiator in the kitchen down stairs loo and up stairs bath room
we have a long landing that also dont have a radiators pluss stairs are in the liveing room we have front door and a polch

baseicly there is not enuth radiators to feed a 5 bed room house
and most of the heat is lost trying to warm up the place that dont have radiators

rita we are council and becouse the house is comeing down thay want do no work unless thay have to so new windows is well out the window LOL

i will just have to suffer and like my daughter said if i move the fat arss a little more i will be warm

No I meant perhaps you could put plastic over your wndows for the time being to stop the cold getting into your rooms.

I use to love the old coal fire's we had them when we first got married.the heat use to circulate alot better than the heat from the radiators.

I have just had my dinner....fish ...hmmm lovely and garlic bread .

Just looked at the weather back home ....it looks freezing ...perhaps I'm not home sick anymore ..LOL


Going to freeze when I get back to Heathrow as I dont have any nice boots with me only sandals.....so can someone meet me with a nice thick coat and boots and just about anything that will stop me from freezing ..
