Evening all,
It's been a lovely sunny day here again ,warm in the sun but still nippy if you get in the shade .
I expect Frank will be taking in the sea views now , i hope he has some nice sunny days so he can maybe get a little walk in if his knee will let him.
Could it be Dermatitis you have Fiona ?, i get that if i get any dust on my hand when i empty the Dys*n i make sure i wash my hands well after as any dust seems to get under my rings and that makes my fingers all itchy .
Gosh poor old James having to pay all that for his fillings and that's on top of what he's already paid i suppose . Our dentist went private a few years ago so we moved to another NHS dentist in another town ,then after a while it went back to NHS so we moved back ,we got in quite easily ,but there is a list now but every so often they take on more patients .
We took a trip to the garden centre this afternoon , hubby needed a but for the garden hose ,we also bought some Runner Bean seed ,some garden ties and some lovely Daffs in bud that have started opened up already since i put them in water .
Went to see my sister this morning as it's her birthday today , her little dog Abbey is still about , the vet has examined her again and said she certainly doesn't have a growth ,but her tummy is so big !! he said he thinks they have been looking past the obvious and that it might be a build up of water in her tummy and round her heart , but doesn't know why it's building up and what is making it build up so shes now on some new tablets ,she seems brighter and less breathless but her tummy is still big !!

Happy Birthday to your Sister Mandy and Happy days for little Abbey <3 Mel I think you can carry on using the cream for longer than a week.I would :-D.I would give it another week and if no change then get more advice...But that is just what I would do .I would have thought after a week though it might be making a difference.
Hopefully Frank will be enjoying his first night away :-D It seems I have been left with some dishes :-S.So I am off to the kitchen to stack the dishwasher :-D

Morning all andevening Kim,
Very blustery here today and it rained yesterday late evening for a long while and it was lashing on the bedroom window when I went to bed.
II have the library this morning and I must'nt forget as it only comes once a month now and I have forgotten it twice now and had to go into Shebbear in the afternoon to take my books back. I have a sticker on the pc to remind me and oh keeps telling me it's LIBRARY TODAY!
He just made himself a nice cup of coffeeless hot water. I did laugh.....

Morning Mel, Morning All, Evening Kim
Sunny at the moment,
It was very amusing this morning while I was looking after Matteo, When the sun glares through the window, Matteo who loves his sun glasses, stop's what he is doing and puts on his glasses, and I have to put on Sofia'a pink sun glasses, then when the sun goes in , off comes the glasses and then it's back to playing again Also I think Matteo has been watching Sofia or perhaps his dad, cleaning their glasses, he's latest trick is to breathe on the glasses and then using my glass cloth give them a good polish, but it's so funny when he goes huhu ? (You know what I mean), <3 <3

Afternoon All,
The sun's out here now after a drizzly morning so I think I shall pop to the shops next to get a few essentials :-)
OH's cough and cold are worse today and he's slipped his dressing gown on as he keeps feeling cold despite the heating being on. We sat and watched the burial on tv this morning. I do wish people would get the facts right and not say he was found several hundred yards from the cathedral when it was only about a hundred feet, if that. Someone they interviewed said they had got his birthdate wrong as well. :-S It shows how you can't trust what you hear on tv.
I see it looks like the awful air crash was caused by the co-pilot. It seems unwise to me that the pilot, who has ultimate responsibility for the passengers, can be locked out of the cockpit area and not be able to gain access in an emergency.
Crikey Jane, I bet James is wishing he'd spent some time finding an NHS dentist before he got these costs!! That is a LOT to have to pay and he's lucky you are able to help! :-0
The vet seems to be on the right lines with Abbey Mandy if she is improving. Let's hope she continues to improve.
I hope Frank has some of this lovely sunshine. :-)

Ahh Fiona.I bet little Matteo was deadly serious when he was polishing his sunglasses LOL ..Hope you did yours too :-D :-D..They are funny aren't they .
Ann,I think James might look at Denplan and see how much it would cost him each month.I know that he is reluctant to change Dentists as ours is so good..He was so shocked at that amount :-0 Poor OH Ann.It wasn't that long ago was it that he had a nasty cold..Are bugs doing the rounds again??? Fitz's OH had a temp of 103 with a nasty head cold. It's her birthday today ,so I do hope she is feeling a bit better.Luckily though they had birthday celebrations at the Weekend when the boys came home.
Well today hasn't been as nice as I thought it was going to be.The wind is so strong and quite chilly. The sun keeps coming and going in between big clouds. I have lit the fire as think it is cold enough :-D(any excuse :-D)
No Gill for a while.I hope all is well with her Mum . Frank better hang onto his hat if the wind is like this in Hastings.

Our two + their respective partners belong to Denplan Jane. The younger you can join the more favourable the terms. The children go for free but they'll probably join as soon as they're adults. Like you say, once you find a Dentist you like you are loathe to change. Been out and about today as after a murky start it cheered up and the sun was lovely, cold wind though. We went to Cricklade, to a very pretty church, then to Lechlade and had pub lunch. It's by the river, and 'L's chap has his motor launch moored there, so we had a walk, and a looksee! Over Easter, we are going with son and his lady to help move the boat up to Windsor to it's summer mooring!! The children should put in some interesting input!! I expect Ian and I will be left in charge of the two younger ones! but it should be good!

OH SHIRL NOT MORE SNOW :-0 :-0 YOU MUST BE SICK OF THE STUFF NOW. I HOPE YOU DON'T GET TOO MUCH MORE :-S.IT SEEMS SO LONG THAT YOU HAVING BEEN HAVING ALL THIS SNOW. STAY SAFE AND WARM <3
Liz how lovely to have a cabin cruiser.I would love one :-D..How far is it to Windsor for the summer mooring?Sounds like you might have your work cut out then lol Years ago when all our children were little we spent a day with Fitz and family on their Cabin Cruiser. It was a beautiful old boat. All varnished wood. They don't have it any longer which is a shame.I kept calling it a Narrow boat :-S :-S..Not the right thing to say LOL The name of it was Balthazar (?sp)..
The News is about to start....It is just dreadful if the co-piolot deliberately brought down that plane.Am i right in thinking that the door to the cockpit can only be opened from inside since 9.11?

No, Jane, it can be opened from the outside, but apparently when the pilot went to the loo, the co pilot over rode the keypad to lock him out. The pilots can do this if a terrorist forces a member of the cabin crew to divulge the key number. Those poor people and the desperate Captain. Unbelievably dreadful.

His poor parents!!!!.I see they went with other grieving families ,but since this latest news has come out they have now been separated from everyone else :-( :-(... What was going on in the mind of this young man???? .Maybe in time things will come out.People who have lost loved ones will want answers.
When I gave blood today I was surprised that it took 9 minutes for my blood to fill the bag.I was told I must have been very relaxed.Normally I take about 5 minutes. But thinking about it if you are relaxed then your heart isn't beating as fast so the blood will flow slower...I found that quite interesting :-D :-D It made sense :-D
Easy dinner tonight..Ready Meals :-D :-D

That sounds a good idea Jane and will be be better than getting big bill shocks! When you find a good dentist you do want to stick with them as you say. I know we were going to join a plan if we hadn't moved here and found an NHS dentist in the village.
Poor Georgette must be feeling a bit grim with a temperature like that. What a shame with it being her birthday today, but good she had the celebrations beforehand. OH is down the hall flopped on the bed reading the paper now. He'll probably be having 40 winks soon. ;-)
I went to a garden club garden centre in the end as I have some vouchers for them. I was hoping to use them on some secateurs so we have a pair each. I'd seen some at the retail park that I liked as they hold what you have cut off so it doesn't fall on the ground........saves keep bending down to pick the bits up!! Anyway they didn't have them so I will have to order some online instead. It was so windy lots of the plants were on their sides. I did get a nice yellow rock rose and a pink flowered alpine though.
That sounds good fun with the cabin cruiser Liz..........you won't be on the tiller then? lol. It must cost a bit to moor at Windsor in the summer I would think, but great for looking around London.

That sounds like a good system........... but only as long as any threat is outside the cockpit!! I was wondering what would happen if the co-pilot passed out while the pilot was out of the cockpit but see Liz has explained that he can usually get back in again. Does this mean that if something happened to disable both the pilot and co-pilot no-one could get in the cockpit to be helped to fly and land a plane?

All these questions about the plane crash. It certainly was a terrible thing to have happened and all for a call of nature by the sounds of it.
Ann I meant to ask this morning if G was any better today but I see you have told us anyway.
I did remember the library as oh kept on about it all mor ing every time he came out for a coffee or a ciggy and I stuck a big sign on the pc. Got three new talking books this time too.
We had the doe in the orchard late afternoon when I let the bantams out. They take no notice of each other which is nice and while they were out the two lady pheasents went in the bantam house and ate their corn I had put down for them!! then the young cockrel went in with them.
