Hi Everyone

I have found the song. It's by Ham and Burger and is featured on an album called KIDTOPIA according to Amazon.
I am busy defrosting the kitchen freezer and using a cloth which is supposed to absorb all the water.,
You can tell that the sun is shining here as I am feeling industrious ( it won't last )
I will keep you all informed re wash ball

Jane

Jane Report 24 Jan 2011 14:28

it rolled down the Pavement
and under a bus
and then my poor meatball ?? mush lol

We have no sun here at all today and it has now just started to drizzle.I have waited in for a package ,and now it has arrived I am free to go out.
I have a painful corn (I think it is a corn) right on the ball of my foot so I need to buy some corn plasters !Then it should be more comfortable.

Hi Jane ,
I had a corn or what I thought was a corn and put on a corn plaster to remove it as we were going on holiday and I did not want to go in the pool with it, same place as yours, turned out it was really hard skin and when the plaster was removed there was a big hole like shape where the hard skin had been, VERY SORE TO WALK ON. becareful get it checked out before you put anything on it. you can get little coushion? plasters instead of medicated corn plaster that may help.

Just back from the Hospital! hung around for a while with OH while they did all the blood taking, blood pressure, elastic stockings bit!! left him looking a bit forlorn, but by now he'll be in Theatre, so no going back!!!! the way the carpark operates at Taunton is a bit of a nightmare, you take a ticket at the barrier which then lifts and lets you in, you then (hopefully) find
a place to park. When you come out, you have to feed the ticket into a machine which tells you how much you have to pay, you do that, then you drive to the barrier and feed in the ticket and it lets you out!! I didn't get close enough to the barrier ticket machine, so I had to get out of the car to feed it in, car behind me (of course) so felt a complete ninny!! won't make that mistake again! missed the first exit and had to use the other one way over the other side of the park!! got home OK amazingly!!! going to visit tomorrow, must keep my cool a bit more!! So sorry about Ros Frank, she really is having a tough time, I do hope it sorts out soon. Not sure what to do next, it does seem so quiet!!!

Soon be over Liz, its clock watching time now then!!

Just waiting for the time that you can ring the hospital and see how things have gone, i'am sure he'll be fine and before you know it you'll be on your way back to visit .
Our hospital car park is like that ,you can be sure we always get behind someone who thinks you pay at the barrier !! then we have the problem of reversing back for them to go back and pay !!

The sun is really bright here as its setting ,lovely clear blue sky too.

Afternoon All,
Yes, it should soon be over now Liz. I bet you can't settle to anything just now, wondering how he is. Our city hospital car park is just the same. When they send out appointments the letters say allow 3 quarters of an hour for parking as the queues are horrendous!! Then you have to go round and round to find a space and always have to make sure you have enough change for the machine. The one the other side of the city is worse as you have to guess how long you will be and put the money in before you leave the car. It's not often you know how long you will be is it!!

I'd forgotten all about the meatball song! lol Funny how it all comes back when you hear a few of the words.

Poor Ros Frank.....hope she gets seen soon. Good news on the coop front though.

I've looked at those washing balls and wondered if they work very well. Look forward to hearing your feedback Anne.

Yes I agree about Larkrise......not up to the usual standard.

I hope your corn soon feels better Jane.......I have a picture in my head of you and Chester limping in unison on your walk!!

OH has taken the old tv and dvd recorder down the tip with some cardboard boxes, so there is space in here now and no excuse for me not to get on with sorting the cupboards tomorrow. I seem to keep putting it off!!!

LOL David. No not my own work!!.Glad it made you smile.

Liz I hope Ian is out of theatre and back on the ward now.Not too long before you can see him.I'm sure all went well.

Ann it's just me hobbling at the moment .Chester's limp seem fine just now .

Fiona I wondered about hard skin ,but I think it is a corn.I'll keep an eye on it.Awkward place to get one isn't it.

Any news on Ros Frank?

It's cold outside now Brrrr!

Hi again. I have been out shopping to Holsworthy. Did'nt need much so I went and got chicken food and a few bits and bobs and brought in fish and chips for me and OH had a kebab and chips. So that is all over with now and I have a whole evening for a change.

Anne have you found out anything yet please?

Jane can't Chris have a look at your foot for you?? He should know whether it is or is'nt!!!

Frank how is Ros today? Hope she could get seen by someone as it sounded quite nasty if it was oozing.

Good you got your money for the coop etc.

Jane I had forgotten about the meatball song too. It's funny how something will just appear on your mind or in your head when you least expect it.

Yes, was'nt Lark Rise disappointing...............................still can't get over it but I suppose they are trying to make up stories now. I say bring back Mr. Timmins (Brendan coyle) one of my favorite characters.

I did see Alphie in something else not long ago, I think he could have been a soldier.

Mel the Meatball song came into my head when I was making the meatballs lol
Now I can't stop singing it !!!!!
As to my corn ,Chris had a brief look and said yes it looked like a corn.He isn't too keen on looking at my feet lolol.I have the plaster thing on now so I'll see what happens to it.
It's his Birthday on Saturday.Men are so difficult to buy for.He has ordered himself a Kindle thing.so that is his big pressie.I have bought an expensive bottle of Port and Alan Sugars Auto biography, and a couple of DVDs.It gets more difficult every year trying to think of something .I can't even think of anything for the garden as he has everything.

I haven't watched Larkrise this time around as I was getting bored with it.It didn't seem to have any umphh!

I'M HERE. What a day I've had. Ros had a call back from the secretary, who told her to go to A & E, and that she would speak to them, so she would be expected. We got a lift off of the neighbour, who was going back to work. At A & E they sent us to the nurses station. She then got a wheelchair for me to take her to the assesment ward. I fell out big time with a PORTER, he came out of the lift with a person in a bed. STOPPED and said where do you think you are going with that wheelchair. I said to the car park I'm going to steal it. What do you think I am doing. You can't take that anywhere. we only have six in the whole dept. I said If you think my wife is walking half a mile in her condition, you have to be joking. Still got this poor woman in the bed. !!!! He went on to say that he would take the woman to her ward and come back and take us. Which he did. What a way to speak to people.,

Antway we sat in this ward for about FOUR HOURS. The nurse then said she would be kept in. Fortunatley Ros had packed a bag. but forgot her tablets. The neighbour came and collected me, an hour later he took me back to drop of her tablets. So have now got HOME. Ros will ring in the morning to let me know whats happening. She has been told she will be refered to her specialist. So that will stop her worrying.

Just going to open A BOTTLE OF redAND RELAX FOR A FEW HOURS. Will let you know how things go tomorrow.

Annx

Annx Report 24 Jan 2011 20:46

Well, what a day as you say Frank. Still, at least Ros is to be seen by her specialist and they will keep her comfortable in the meantime. Some people don't know how to treat customers do they.......no manners at all. OH did his nut at Mor*isons yesterday. He was trying to buy a paper and in a longish queue and the 2 assistants serving did nothing but talk to each other. When it was his turn at last he stood holding the money for the girl for a few minutes while she carried on chatting and ended up asking if she wanted the money. Then she had the nerve to roll her eyes at her colleague like he was a difficult customer!! Don't deserve their jobs!!!!!

Good idea to relax and unwind a bit.

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 24 Jan 2011 21:21

Oh I am glad you got her settled in Frank. she is in the best place there. Surely you need not have taken her pills in, they should have them there if she knows what she takes.

Ann I have that sometimes when waiting to be served at the ciggy counter. Then when I asked for what I wanted they did'nt have it!! So I went to their garage and they had it.

Off now so will say goodnight all.

Frank I hope you have rolled into bed safely lol.You have had a day haven't you.I'm sure you feel happy now Ros is in the right hands.

Ann I would have given those girls one of my looks.I bet I can roll my eyes better than them lol.

Mel ,I often say to Chris "do you treat your patients like me?".I think he has seen so many patients with all sorts of problems the last thing he wants is to look at my corn lolol.Never marry a DOCTOR!!!!,if you need any sympathy .
I know he has a hell of a job and the last thing he wants to know about are my little corny problems!!

I hope we all sleep well tonight.Mandy I was awake at 11.30 ,2 and then 3.02 am.I then read for about an hour .I tried to go to sleep an then remembered it was 11 years yesterday that my friend died,so I was then thinking about her.I would like to think I have a decent sleep tonight.Fingers crossed!
Just going to let Chester out now and then climb the stairs.Night Night xx

Morning

Its all arranged Sofia & I have joined a musical mini's group on a wednesday at one of the local churches, sort of like a mother & toddler group with musical instruments, songs and stories.

Her mum takes her to a similar one on a Friday morning near where she lives. Sofia tends not to want to listen to the stories and instead of sitting down she wants to play with the toys,
I think she is still too little to sit through a story, but I have more patience with her than my daughter lol. I am happy just to play with her, daughter says " you know all the songs and nursery rhymes mum because of your job in the nursery. so I will feel right at home,

Great I can do the same work I did, but not have to do all the preperation and study for it.

Happy birthday LIZ 21 again are we lol
