Hello everyone.I have had trouble getting on here this afternoon.Don't know why. I'm pleased your cold hasn't got any worse Anne.Maybe you are right and having the day in will help.I don't think there are many people who have managed not to get any cold or Flu these past few months.I think the worst must be over as there are not so many people sniffing ,snorting and coughing into hankies .
I had a mini magnum type lolly just now .Ice cream inside and chocolate and almond covering. It was delicious but now my teeth are aching terribly lol. They are all jumpy. That will teach me .
I hope Ros is home now and that Ian is feeling a bit less sore and will soon be on his way home again.
I can't believe it is 5 o clock.I must get on and start dinner.

Jane that will teach you to sneak a lolly!!!
Anne glad your looking after yourself with lots of nice tea.
I have just had a couple of crumpets and lashings of butter. So I have been naughty too.
OH going ringing again tonight so I thought I would be able to get on with some cleaning whilst he's out but just been infcormed that he is going at 5.30 and shall be back by about 7.30pm. Bum that means I now have to cook a dinner for us both and I was going to have a nice couple of boiled eggs.
That has now gone out the window and shall have to dive sown the freezer for something.

Hi all,
Madam is home and well, I got tea and coffee for Conrad and Jan, together with bacon sandwiches. I had one too. but nor Ros. She's had a quiet afternoon on the sofa, and the odd doze.
Chicken portions in the over, with vegetable rice with extra mushrooms and onions.
Thanks again for all your good wishes. I suppose I will be kept on my toes for a couple of days. Will have to get the neighbour to get us a few bits from Tes#o. Till ROS feels able to drive.

Hi lovely people I hope everyone is ok.I have not been good so have not been on the computor at all just slopped around the house crying my eyes up for Mohsen whoes gone back to Tunisia for good hoping that life will be better in Tunisia after the revolution and getting rid of Ben Ali but what a mess it seems now with rioting in Tunis and now they want the prime minister out and the rest of the government and he told my daughter he had never loved her and he did not want to pay that £1200 pound .If he felt like that why did he not say here Michelle you have this money and I will return to Tunisia. Michelle s been going around trying not to care but shes been sobbing at night in her bed we have heard her.
I missed Mo he used to work nights and come home ,go to bed for a while and then come down and we would cook and talk. He kept me going when Matt died and I felt sorry for him then because he was a bit left out.
I since phoned him and he said I made a terrible mistake can I come back .I asked Michelle and she said no way I wasted seven years getting him here he walked out when Ben Ali was forced to quit Tunisia. Then he said terrible things that he could not have children so the one Michelle lost was not his. I told him why say that and he said we had ruined his life.I said you did that yourself and have not spoken or heard from him since. I think its like Frank said once if you make your bed you lie on it and I did tell Catie her friend was wise to get rid of that man she was going to marry. Mohsen went to the Tunision Centre and they were telling them all there to go back to Tunisia loads of people are flooding there now that were exiled all hoping for a better life.
Aprils here for the panto tomorrow I am not going back stage I cannot be bothered will just enjoy the panto.
I saw Alan Titch in the city getting off a train I found myself saying hello it dawned on him who I was after two minutes .He said Oh you are the lady who left me the Chocolate Limes.I said no Alan I left those for the cleaning lady. He said being from Yorkshire ee by gum and I thought you had left those for me and I was eating the cleaners treats from you he did giggle and me. Then he said well nice to see you again Shirley I said Sheila and he shuck my hand and went. I cannot believe I typed letters for him.Now I could not type anything for anybody. Life was good to me then.
I did manage to read a few messages from you all the day after you posted them when Mohsen first disapeared but did not have the heart to answer. But thank all for being so nice. .
Anne only just got the message about the dresses 1930s I did ring the shop but they have gone ,Have kept the ladies phone number and name and will let you and her know if anything else comes in.I will pay for them and you can give it me later. I think someone bought them for a production of the BOYFRIEND what a sweet lady you sound do you work for a hospital i hope your back is ok. Where do you live Anne and how old are you. Me being nosy I surpose but love to know about other peoples lives thats why I stayed on here. I feel I know everyone and there suport was great to read through my problems.
Mel have you been taking funny pills some of the things I read you had written cracked me up. Love your verse Amanda
Jane my couson is married to a doctor and she said he is great until it is something shes got but Chris and Tony do good work what would we do without them but maybe they get devoted to the work and wives get a bit left out. Chris sounds great though.Fritz is off to Venice did you say I had a couple of day trips I loved it the gondolor wobbled a bit when I got in it I was 18 stone then now much lighter . FIONA hope your feeling better after loosing your dad the weight falls off when you loose someone doesnt it.The nice memories are important.
FRANK thank you for your message it can only get better .I hope your feeling a bit better and Roz improves later.
Its nice that Shirls back bless her I hope she is coping it seems cold in Canada .
I wish I had a photo of the men David and Frank did ask several times. Liz I am glad your hubby Ian is getting along nicely after his operation.
Well must go forgive me if I forgot anybody or anything there were pages of threads read some of them. I am looking forward to seing the panto and lunch I have not been eating a lot. I had a ache in my tum. sadness I think ..Anne you said you were like that when your daughter split up with someone. Men these days do not seem to have much backbone not all by the way do not want to upset the males.
Berl and Donnie are back she had a tattoo on her boob a heart a arrow a D for Donnie and a B for Beryl. She said I nearly fainted when it was done when she said she had B and D I said what was that for Barmy and Daft and she put the phone down. Beryl phoned for lunch but I reclined I am still not really ready to cope with her at the moment arnt I a misery.
Another April joke a coloured man gave a friend a coloured doll where did it come from the man asked .He did not answer and the other man said I have a doll liked that .The other man said Jamaica no said the man I just remembered where it came from. bye xxxx

6.05 PM. The towing wasn't too bad Mel, as the chap had a foldaway trailer on the back of the van! It was a really keen piece of kit, and the car was strapped onto that. I travelled with 'THE CHAP' in the front of the van, but poor old Millie had to stay in the car, my did she howl!!! Car's going in tomorrow so problem SHOULD be sorted! Merlin is out (during the day) on his winter mud patch!!, not really very good, but the best we can do. Ian usually walks or rides him at least twice a week, but obviously not now!! poor old boy will just have to manage. He's in at night and has a yard at the back of his stable as well, and two good meals a day plus his hay so he's not too hard done by.Better fed than some people!!!! Thank you Sheila for your good wishes, I do hope that things get a bit easier for you. Hope your cold isn't too bad Anne, they can really drag you down and make you feel very miserable.

It sounds as though you have had a very difficult time. I guess from your posts that you have lost someone special plus difficulties with your children( I hope I am not too far off track) I can only hope life improves soon. As for me, I am 62, have been retired for 8 years and live in Northallerton in North Yorkshire. My hubby is also retired from full time work but leads wildlife holidays during the summer. We have a son who lives in Herts and a wonderful granddaughter. All in all an ordinary family. My hobbies include bird watching, cooking and travelling. Yes I do help at the local hospital shop as well as the TIC. Have had that glass of red wine and am feeling ok. *Mel* Thanks for your research.

Mel ,why does he complain about the hairdryer ??.Is it the noise?Chris uses the hairdryer every morning .He is so hairy, and he hates to put his clothes on feeling damp lol So he drys his body.Even his toes !!!.I wish I had never chosen a dark blue carpet for the bedroom as it is always covered in his little grey hairs.I remember how heavy a hand held hair dryer was when I was young. It didn't half give me arm ache. Talking of hair ,I am off for a cut tomorrow afternoon.Heaven!.I may even get a bit of gossip from Nigel (hairdresser).I remember when he was 17 and lived a couple of doors away from us.He now has 3 Salons and is married with 4 children. When Hannah was about 4 she got chewing gum all stuck in her hair. ( I have no idea why I let her have chewing gum).I nipped down to Nigels parents house and asked if he could pop round .He did ,and I can see him now in my kitchen cutting all this chewing gum out of Hannah's hair.lol He remembers it too!!!! 19.21

Evening All
Hi Sheila, nice to hear from you again, but sorry about the the family problems, hope you & April have a great time at the Panto.
Frank , Glad Ros is home and good to know she is resting.
The Play I went to see last night actually turned out to be a musical which was performed by local Music & Drama students from the University West of Scotland,
MARGUERITE is a musical set in the 1940's in German occupied Paris It tells the tale of a 40-year-old ex singer and her affair with a young musician who is mixed up with the French Resistance, whilst she is the mistress of a Nazi officer, it was very good -the music and singing were very powerful. The musical is based on the romantic novel La Dame aux Camelias by Alexander Dumas. Performances have been seen in 2008 -West End 2009 -Japan, 2010 -Czech republic
Sofia & I had good fun at Musical Minis this afternoon. the children ranged from the youngest who were twin baby boys of 6 months to a little girl of 4 years old, there must have been about 10 children in all. singing songs, playing musical instruments and dancing, Sofia even has a little t.shirt to wear with MUSICAL MINI'S on the front.

Morning all,
It is very cold and frosty here this morning. I went out to give the birds some seed as there was a lovely male pheasent coming down the garden and had'nt realized just how cold it was untill I went to go back through the back door and OH was holding it shut!!! He thought it was funny!!!!!! I told him off.......
Funny thing is there is no white stuff around but biurdbath frozen solid. I hshould have known as the bedroom windows were running with condensation this morning. It is the wind that is so cold.

Morning All Not to cold this morning,
my parcel of wooden flowers arrived this morning in the post I've been on tender hooks waiting for them all week, lovely pink & purple shades for my shelf in the hall, I have 4 photo's of Italy above the shelf , they were taken a few years ago, scenes with lots of Lavender fields and little italian cottages with bright painted doors and windows ,the first lot of flowers were badly faded by the sun that comes in through the glass front door from the porch. (when we get the sun lol)
Having a day at home , OH shirts to Iron and the kitchen floor needs a good clean.
