Hi All
Rotten afternoon weather wise. Howling winds and lashing rain.

my flowers arrived about 10.45 , lovely ,then daughter no 2 phoned to say the roads didn't look to good with snow and she and boyfriend had decided not to go down to uni, daughter will get all the info on line. so thats ok. snow gone now

So because they had hired a car for the journey the decided to take me out for lunch down the Clyde Valley where all the garden centre's are so I was treated to baked potato & Salad, with a chocolate slice to follow.
we managed to get home without getting to wet. but it was freezing so I have just had a nice warm shower and I feel great now.

That sounds a lovely place to visit Ann.I love snowdrops too.Ours have been in flower for a while now.
I knocked on a chaps door earlier and asked if he was the man who catches Rabbits.Bingo it was the right house.I asked if he would like to visit our garden and see if he could clear the little blighters lol.He said he would come sometime before the end of the month. He has caught 200 from the top field up the road.I wondered why I didn't see them all on the verges any more, and over the last week or so has had more than 50 from gardens along from us.
I shall have to make sure I keep Chester in when he comes with his ferret !!!
Funny chap.He gave me the creeps a bit,but as long as he can do the deed I will be happy.Chris will be even happier lol

Chris is off to a meeting with the partners at a pub tonight so will be eating out.I think Hannah and I will have something like Egg and Chips.I quite fancy the thought of that.

Yes I hope Frank hasn't got himself into mischief !!!You never know with our Frank.

Hi Can anyone cheer me up I have laid around crying all day I have not even done my hair .I have Mohsens number and just wanted to ring him all day.Why I ask myself am I going mad and how long will this empty feeling last. The worse thing is having nobody to talk with .Everybodies carer round here thats me people are saying on hello so an so needs some help if you are interested. I think me here needs some help but never mind. My poor ho tries his best to cheer me up I do for a while and I am back in tears.I look awful.

Michelle Is coping Jane thank you for asking I hope your Hannah is ok after her fall poor love it shakes you up a bit of help goes a long way.

Mohsen told Michelle he could not have children she told him he was mad
she was having a baby whoes did he think that was and he said not mine.
My daughter adored that man and I know he was lying so cruel she must have spent £8,OOO trying to get him to England driving lessons here the tests he had to do to stay and get his right to stay she kept him for months until he got a job he got a job nights but did not like it always tired and
and got mugged that night I told you for £3. and he hated the weather here we have had the worse winter since 1910 Also his mother is having a kidney transplant operation in April in Tunis. Mohsen wanted to go back for that but also for Eide. Ramadamn which is a month he would have lost his job and when would Michelle see him. When the country lost Ben Ali he just went off. I think he hopes for a better life. The troubles is still happening but less and they are playing it down now no news. Mos phoned yesterday to ask my daughter had she stopped him getting his wages he had tried in Tunisia but they had blocked his account because he had figgled around so much with different passwords forgetting his. He said I will send you some money bring it and give it you Michelle
and yet he said he will never come back. I do not understand him and she just feels so lost shes been associated with him as a friend since she was fourteen and he was 10 years old they met in a market and he showed her round he worked on his dads leather goods store and Michelle used to go to his house and got invited every year and she used to go every year.I was not keen on the friendship when she grew up I thought she deserves somebody better but she was besotted with him being so many years younger and just being used to him around. He grew up nice looking I sent the photo but smaller than Michelle and he sent gifts until they married I went out there and you remember the laugh I caused by the grandads antics I shall always remember that holiday
I could not wait to get home all those uncles and funny men.The rolling up of the beard when grandad ate his food. My poor bum was pinched so much by him. In fact Michelle said Mohsen needs something to put on his grandads tomb I said bum twicker. When here Mo was lovely and I thought I was wrong we got on so well but when Mr Ben went so did Mohsen.Michelle is wearing loads of make up now big high heels and trying yo carry on amongst floods of tears like me. Mohsens religion did not like women with make up or high heel . She wore make up but not a lot
no eye make up he hated that.if she wore heels she was taller than he was.

Fiona enjoy your holiday. I hope Ian is feeling better thinking of him
although I do not know him

How is our Shirl and Maureen.
No pictures of the men loved all the others Jane and Maureens jokes.

Bye now catch you later trying to read all the threads but end up crying
think I have lost it don t you. All the best to everyone. Mandy I bet you cannot wait for summer and that pool have you done any nice stiching lately and Maureen her lovely painting I still have the cards you sent me.
Mel must send you that picture .Anne will send you my e mail lost that address for the vintage clothing.

Hi Sheila. It sounds to me like you are suffering from depression. When you think all that has happened with Matt dying and now this with Mos.I think it would be worth having a word with the GP and maybe having some anti depressants .I know some people poo poo the idea of them ,but they are very good and just help you feel that bit better which will enable you to cope with life .You don't want to let yourself get too low.
I think Michelle is just doing what SHE wants now with the makeup and heels. It is probably doing her good.

I remember you telling us the story about the grandfather rolling his beard up ,and all the bottom pinching lol. That was so funny.

No you haven't lost it.You are feeling sad and down and have had a lot to deal with over the last few months. It's not surprising that you feel the way you do.But a little help from the right people I'm sure is the way to go.
Take care

Hi Sheila sorry to hear you are still upset. Spring must be on the way now and things may look brighter.

I was going to have a good go in the bathroom today but with things going on and people calling in I have not set foot in there only for a leak.

Fiona hope you enjoyed your day and what flowers did you get.
Happy Anniversary to you and hubby.

Ann sound like you were well entertained with the inlaws!

Jane thats an awful lot of rabbits in your area. I wonder how many we really have here. They have eaten my lovely everygreen campanula percifolia leaves. I shall have to find some wire netting to put round a big clump to see if I can get some flowers this year. Last year they chewed off all the flower stalks as they came up.

Happy Anniversary Fiona, what kind of flowers did you get.

Sheila I agree with Jane, mum had antidepressants once and they helped her tremendously. She would burst into tears for no apparent reason at all.

A mother has three girls.
On each ones wedding day, she tells them to write back about their married life.

To avoid embarrassing their new husbands by openly discussing personal matters, the daughters tell their mother they'll use the newspaper ads as a 'code' to let her know how their love lives are going.

The first one gets married and next day her mother receives a letter with the message: Instant coffee.

The mother checks the instant coffee ad in the paper and is happy to read: satifaction to the last drop...

Then the second daughter gets married. After a week, there's a message that says: Double mattresses.

The mother looks at the mattresses ad. It says Full size, king size.
Again the mother is happy.

Then it comes to the third daughter's wedding. After four weeks, the message comes saying: Always Airline.

The mother looks at the ad. and this time she faints.

It says: Three times a day, seven days a week, both ways.

Hi Everyone

Its pouring with rain and the wind is howling outside!!
Sheila Do go to the docs they are so used to people suffering from depression and you can get some super pills which make you feel much better.
I cant remember who asked me if we grow our own veg yesterday but the answer is yes. We only have a small patch but its very productive. We also have apple trees, plum tree and blueberry plants.
Had a good day shopping. So nice to mooch with a friend and bought some crop trousers and a new shirt. Had a lovely lunch at Loch Fyne restaurant, 2 courses with wine for £10 95p which I thought was good value.
Have to say that there is no sign of snowdrops in the garden yet.
At the meeting last night we had fig rolls which I have not had for years and bourbons were also a favourite.
How are Ian and Ros today? It seems very quiet

It was me who asked if you grow veg Anne.I wondered because you said you ate a lot of fruit and veg.I have never grown blueberries.I remember when I was in Canada my Rellies went picking them, and came back with pounds of them. They were shocked when I told them how much we have to pay for a small punnet.
So are you nearly packed for your hols??Just think of that lovely weather you will be having, and we will all be here with our woolies on lol.If you get some nice photos it would be nice to see some.I bet you can't wait to go now.
That meal you had sounds a real bargain, especially with wine.

Its lashing down with rain outside now and the wind is very strong.
Jane We also had blueberries in Canada and they are so small and soft there.I brought a huge box back with me on one occasion and I came straight through customs with it without any problems.
We managed to find a wild blueberry plant which we grow in a tub and they are gorgeous. I saved some for Christmas and we had them with waffles and maple syrup.
I have started to sort out my clothes but will get down to serious sorting tomorrow. Hubby always packs as he can get much more into a case than I can

On our first holiday abroad ,when it came to unpacking ,guess what i had put in the case .........only a big roll of cling film !!!! i must have had it in my hand and in it went , glad i didn't have to open my case and explain that one .
Sister and BIL were in stitches when i told them what i'd packed !!

Anne

Anne Report 3 Feb 2011 21:16

Sorry I stopped suddenly earlier but all the lights went out. After some investigating by hubby discovered problem with main bathroom light which is connected to the landing light.
Hubby now has everything back under control I think.
My packing consists mainly of clothes books and toiletries whilst hubby carries lots of extra things i.e. bird books, butterfly books, nets, pots etc and every electrical device and charger known to man. He has a wonderful bag with two compartments, a firm base and a soft top and its amazing just what he can fit into it.
The weather outside is getting worse, a real storm going through!
Think I might retreat to bed soon and dream of the sun

Sheila, it's been one thing after another for you for months now and no-one can be expected to cope with all that without a struggle......you are only human. Just go to your doctor and tell him you are in tears all the time and he may get you some help and perhaps some temporary medication to help you for a while. Don't put it off thinking tomorrow will be better......just book an appointment.

Mandy, the jewellery sounds a good buy. I really must sort my jewellery out. Things have got tangled up and so don't get worn!!

I always use the petrolprices site to find cheap petrol and the supermarkets always come out the cheapest. Costs a bomb to fill up now doesn't it.

Your flowers colours sound really pretty Fiona and nice to be treated for lunch too.

There has been a right bungle here with the new crime site where you can check whether you live in a bad area. lol Our local paper gave this area as really bad for anti social behaviour. OH couldn't believe it when I showed him and said I hope these figures don't make our car and house insurance shoot up. Tonight's paper pointed out that these crimes are logged as in the area where they are reported.............and we have the Constabulary HQ half a mile away!!!!!!!!!
