You old devil Pat,

Line dancing, is it local to you or do you have to travel ???
Have never tried it. When a young teenager I learnt, square dancing and Ballroom dancing. So glad I did. If you can't dance, how can you enjoy yourself when you go to the local hop, or "DINNER DANCE" I have been to some of London's top hotels to firms dinner dances. and enjoyed every moment gliding round the floor in my dickie bow and dinner suit. How I wish I could still do it !!!! ENVY

Jane Report 5 Dec 2011 17:33

Suave and Sophisticated Frank eh in his Dickie gliding along.I can just visualize it ;-) ;-)
Pat I have only done Line Dancing once and I did enjoy it.Hard work isn't it !.There was a time a little while back when there seemed to be lots of classes around here ,but I haven't heard of any recently .
Dinner Dances .I remember Mum and Dad often going to them.Do they still call them Dinner Dances?Everyone always looked so glamorous .People don't seem to get dressed up so much these days.

Frank thanks for your card.I have 5 cards now and 4 of them are from you lot lol.Decorations are now in the garage down from the loft box and bags all dusty :-S.I will have a ferret through them tomorrow.

Talking of Ferrets .....do you remember earlier this year when we had trouble with rabbits and I went to a chap down the road who deals with problem bunnies? He never turned up even though he said he would .Well on Saturday (when I was out ) Chris answered the door to a man with a Ferret in a box and 2 dead rabbits. It was him !!!!!!.Only about 6 or 7 months late :-S :-S

I have 4 cards this year so far Jane (it is early days) and they are all from you lot. snowing again here. My decorations are almost all up , I leave my garlands and Christmas tree's and lights till 2 weeks to Christmas then put them up probably will be the 17/18 of December.

I went line dancing when I worked at the nursery , used to go along with my boss and her mother to a local church hall, really enjoyed it untill my old muscles started to get worse mind you the twisting played havock with my back .

Sheila Report 5 Dec 2011 17:52

OH HELLO Posted my cards today to the friends whoes address I have could not believe the long line of people in the post office I was in the place for 50 minutes my legs were stiff with cold from a draft blowing from an open door my one leg fell asleep and I had to make a b line for the one and only chair in the place. It took ten minutes for my leg to work. Oh for my little cosy post office just up the road with a friendly chat to all the pensioners and a nice chat to the man who ran our local post office.Miss it so much.

Well my Duggie won the jungle.Jessica was disgusted Mark did not win and is mourning his loss forever but I reminded her she will get to see
him when they do the out of the jungle programme ,that brought a smile to her dismal face. Poor Ryans been well and truly forgotton. I said are you phoning Ryan in New York and she said Oh no he can wait for a few days.
Loves young dream!!!!

Our Beryls phoned 3 times but friend Sheilas been out I got April to answer the phone. April can get rid of anybody quickly she bellows hello down the phone and you hear what ,hey ,or hold on while I change the phone into my other hand. Whoever is there gets fed up and says I will ring back later . Beryl was not so lucky she said to her Oh Aunty Beryl Nannie told me to tell you shes out. I shouted April and she said No shes not shes in but cannot speak. Well I had to ring back and got a wailing sound down the phone it seems Larry Lamb got fed up and left her and shes not seen him since and Donnie Wonnie the dream said he will move in when Larry the lumps moved out. let you know if anything exciting happens Beryl misses the car she said.

My ho is better he was preening himself in front of the mirror and said Gosh Im a handsome bloke. I said yes like a packet of crisps he said what I said Chilly flavour your hot and tempting just to keep him happy and Jess said Dad your just like a vintage wine mature full bodied and sat on the shelf a long time. Im afraid I laughed so much I got hic cups.
My ho went off muttering wait until you do not have me. Im great for my age.

James thats your son Jane sorry was showing his photoes of his graduation to Jessica who was most impressed.I am so pleased he is ok and doing well. I agree Hannah is a pretty girl someone said.

Glad that women went out of the x factor she had a nice voice but could not stand her look. Hubby said she would not stop a dog in an entry with her legs. I said its her voice she on for.

I walked the dogs and pair of them disapeared under a bush snuggled up and would not come out. I had to crawl underneath and got my hair tangled up on the prickly bits. I got the perishers out with a load of woofs and growls and teddy tried to nip me. I think they are getting old Jaspers 10 and Teddy is eleven and a half they both have trouble jumping up on things. Teddy fell off the chair one day jumping up and landed on Jasper who bit Teddy and they got into a fight so I had to get my hubby to seperate them. it is freezing cold here today and they hate it. They are sat in front of the fire snoring both of them curled up together.

Kim thats awful that place being burnt down by yobs it happens round here and is so annoying. I am glad Joel is doing well .Ashleys just had a bowl of soup thrown at him he called some chap a dozy git because he
would not come out his cell and he threw a bowl of veggie soup and Ashley had carrots and peas stuck all over his uniform. He had to pay to have it cleaned.

Mel I do love robins Maureen painted me a lovely one last year and I put it in a little frame.

Misha B is what i was looking for Jane.

My family want Little Mix to win X factor.

Well our Jason nearly went out of Strictly and I loved his version of Singing in the rain Glad he is still there.

Its a shame our pets get ill and have to go I remember I took my cairn
Brandy to have him put down and it broke my heart. I was wanting to hold him and the vet pulled him away at the last minute .I was so upset I saw him die and cried the vet went out and I was so upset I could not even hug
his little body I ran out crying all the people in the surgery were in tears and the girl in the vets had to get Leslie in. I would not take another dog someone else will have to do it. Brandy had kidney failure after having his kidneys cleaned out twice they told me he had to be put down. But he was happy on the day and going up to people and licking them so everyone was sad when I came out. and said he had gone.

i do hope your puss will hang on for a while longer Frank.

Fiona ,I see your tired old porch is ready for coming down .It's quite a good size.Is your new one going to be as big?

I decided not to light a fire today (James not impressed). The amount of dust it causes is horrendous :-S.I think a wood burner would look nice and a lot cleaner. But I can't see us having one just at the moment.

All my cards are stamped and ready to go in the post tomorrow,if there is room in the post box :-S.When I went to get the stamps this morning the box was full to the brim.

LOL Chris has just come home and said ....."WHAT NO FIRE" :-D

Frank I know how hard it is to loose pets after years of their company. Thanks why we don't have any now. Just my girls and a couple of cockrels. I lost one of my old girls today. She had been looking a bit sad for a few days. You know the thing Frank tail down and hunched up, pale cone and not moving very quickly. Glad you have given pus a little more time.

Fiona your porch certainly needs replacing but a nice new one will be much better when you can get it done.

Nobody turned up today and when I rang they said they were waiting for the rods and clips to come in. Oh was furious as it has to be done and finished by Thrusday because the offer for the 43p ends on the 12th which is a Monday and they don't work over the weekend so it has to be registered by Friday at the latest. He told them if it is not done in time the deal is off.

Been shopping and thought I had done quite well until I got to the till and it came to £119.00!!!!!!!

Fiona Report 5 Dec 2011 19:07

Yes Jane, maybe a little bigger, we have decided that we might not put the fridge back in the new porch, it has been great not having to trail out of the kitchen every time we want milk or something.
the new porch will be built of brick, the windows will be smaller and it will have a slopeing tiled roof ,same roof tiles as the house, the door will be in the same place, it will be much warmer and cleaner and I'm looking forward to not having to clean such big windows, lol

What a chilly day its been ,and really frosty first thing .

Frank, thanks for your card , i see puss has been given a little longer :-) but if he's not in pain and as you say if he wees in his bed it can be washed then let him have a little more time.

Fiona, the porch has done well lasting all that time , will be nice to have a new one to keep out the cold .

The S*y man came so we can now record to our hearts content !! that's if i can remember how to do it !! lol

Cards are all in the post , just got a few more to write out , they are the ones we hand out and don't need to post .

Got Chelsea a lovely hat and gloves set today for christmas , the hat is all fur lined so should be nice and warm for her , i did wonder if i should have a hat for the weekend ,we're off to the dinosaur park with the little ones to see Santa and we'll probably have a walk round and if its as cold as today i think i might need one !!!
Bought a nice big piece of gammon today from Tes*o's ,also got a piece for son and DIL ,they have been put in the freezer ,there we're some nice Pork joints there too all half price .

A gorgeous young redhead goes into the doctor's office and said that her body hurt, wherever she touched it.

"Impossible!" says the doctor. "Show me.

The redhead took her finger, pushed on her left wrist and screamed, then she pushed her elbow and screamed in even more.

She pushed her knee and screamed; likewise she pushed her ankle and screamed.

Everywhere she touched made her scream.

The doctor said, "You're not really a redhead, are you?"

"Well, no" she said, "I'm actually a blonde."

"I thought so," the doctor said. "Your finger is broken".

Hi Folks,

Your old porch is similar to the back door one at my previous house Fiona. The new one will look great with a tiled roof and some brickwork......warmer and as you say, less glass to clean....I'm all for that too!! You must feel encouraged by that extra pound you have put on. Your appetite will get better as you get used to eating more too.

Well, Sheila, what can I say! Sounds as if Larry was scared off by Donnie and Beryl is left empty handed so to speak. Who is it she is crying over I wonder.....maybe Donnie will be back before Christmas!! April is a cheeky little monkey isn't she....always getting you in trouble. lol

Frank, it must be so hard to pick the 'right time' for your poor puss. I hope he is better in the new bed near the flap. Would he use a litter tray indoors do you think? I bet you were a 'BOBBIE DAZZLER' in your dikkie!!! Thanks for your Xmas card.....my fourth.

I have been looking for bits and pieces for Friday's class today. We are going to make tree ornaments........ bead fairies, snowmen and snowflakes! Nowhere seems to have big white or pearl beads at the moment, so I trotted round the charity shops and found necklace with big silver beads that will do nicely for some of my fairies!!!! lol. We are all exchanging bead related gifts for each other and taking food so it should be very enjoyable.

Another mouse in the loft trap this morning! Then OH found 2 that had drowned in a few inches of water in a garden humper outside. It was next to the house wall to catch the drips when we use the hose. That means the little blighters must have climbed the wall to have fallen in!!! A mouse has also managed to reach my little peanut plant in it's pot in the greenhouse and dig it up and polish off the nut bit and roots......just a bit of shoot left. :-S

Hi from a HAPPY BUNNIE. I have been down the pub to watch the footie. When I got home just before ten. There was a little friend waiting for me. I have feed him again and told him "It's a new day for you, old friend". I swear he said hallo when I came in.

Ros has been busy doing the tree. It looks an absolute treat. She hasn't finished it yet, as soon as she has I will take a photo.

Mice are little blighters, When we lived at Gayton, they lived in the dry stone wall at the back of the garden. Ros would feed them cheese and tit bits, they got quite tame, in the autumn they would collect all the plum stones, and nibble the ends off to get the kernal, and leave them all piled up in the shed. Thank goodness they never got in the house.

Going for a glass of RED to toast my friends new life.

Night Night from one happy little fellow. !!!

Just a quick one. Thanks for your lovely card Jane - arrived today.

Frank so happy puss is still here. Just a thought - would it pay to have him checked by a vet for a urinary infection. It might be something simple that needs antibiotics.

Hi thank you for the Christmas Card Amanda it was nice of you to send me a card. Kim have you not had my card yet I got yours very quickly and Michelle posted it I hope it arrives soon.

Sorry about my comments on Misa Jane perhaps it seemed rude after you said you liked her.I thought she had a lovely voice but did not like her look for a stage artist and she was accused of being spiteful. Not that I think that should have been mentioned. I did not read that you liked her just that she had gone out of the competition. so sorry. My computors been dreadful flashing and going on and off I have a job to read anything. but I do agree she had a lovely voice. I am sure she will get a record contract anyway.

Well I went and got a large book of stamps today to save going to that awful post office. Beryls had it with me she phoned last night and said Donnies coming back on Saturday and he asked me to buy a car and I am going to get I one love Donnie so much. I give up on her silly women
I said he uses you and she called me some very nasty names.

April does get me into trouble Ann she had a good lecture off Jess today
for giving the dog her breakfast after Jess cooked it .A plate of eggs and bacon and beans. Jasper ate the bacon and spread beans all over the floor .I slipped on them. Which was scary after falling on my face recently.

We have a rat that walks from next door up the path each day They have so much rubbish. He sits and washes his face so cute but rats I dont like them.

Some man came in the shop and told me a joke it lasted for ten minutes
and he forgot the end. I forgot what he asked for. He could not remember what he came in for and I forgot his name and called him Dick and his name was Willie . Willie Strong. My ho was laughing away trying to put on his wall clock which fell to pieces .Jessica said thats had it dad that clock and he said no its got some more life. It suddenly fell off the wall and smashed into lots of pieces. . April said Gramps its time you got another clock and we all laughed and he told us to go out the shop .Nice I got out of doing my morning session. April said oh I am so clever did you get my joke its time you got a new clock and Jessica said you are so sharp you will cut yourself one day. Mat wish you were back. April was so sweet and
cute now shes like a smart adult and it can be a bit annoying. Jessica sometimes says April I do not want a word out of you all day. think she is with grown ups and people come in the shop chat to her and she gets
spoilt. Mat would have a fit if he new what she said and did sometimes.
We were talking about him singing the First Noel outside the shop the first year Jess met him. Some children came to sing carols and Mat joined in. People were stopping and I was standing there holding a small box I had just emptied which had sweets in and people were putting money in it. I said nothing and collected seven pound we put it in the dog box for the RSPCA. He had a lovely voice. I often think of him and wished he had not always been away cutting and seing to his trees he loved. Memories do children still sing carols at houses I dont know.
Well duty calls Mat junior wants his grup and nappie changed.

At last, Good afternoon folks,

What have they been doing to the site??? It has taken me hours to get on.

My little friend slept in his new bed last night. Ros said he complained a little after I went to bed, but settled down. When I went into the kitchen to make my cup of tea, he was still asleep in his bed. said hallo, and I feed him,
He's been lying in front of the drinks cabinet all morning, and just jumping on the arm chair for a stroke and fuss.

Haven't read all the postings, just glad to get on here.

BBL

Ros is still working on the decorations, I have put the lights along the front of the bungalow, and round the inside of the conservatory, and on her little twig displays.

Do hope you Elbow improves Mel, It can be very painfull, "YOU MUST STOP PLAYING TENNIS " :-D :-D :-D
