I've got one and use it loads - however it is quite heavy and not the easiest thing to keep clean. Wouldn't like to be without it though. Kate

Le Creuset are cast iron french cooking pots. Very heavy indeed. Imagine lifting one of their casserole dishes full of boeuf bourguignon out of a low level oven!!!!! I have and needed back surgery! Dee x

They are excellent, but as others have said - they're really heavy - even when empty! AL

I had some but had to get rid of them - far too heavy. I then invested in some really good stainless steel pans which double up as casserole/oven dishes and have never looked back! OC

My ex bought me a set of 5 one Christmas (that's part of the reason he's my ex - such imaginative presents!!) They weren't enamelled, so needed 'seasoning' after every use and - as everyone else has said - blooming heavy, and me being 3 months pregnant at the time- well it was quite good in a way, I could add 'unable to cook' to my 'unable to clean oven' (chemicals!!) list of things I couldn't do!!! BTW The pans went his way in the divorce maggie
