Only just got time to pop in.

Had the girls for a couple of hours (4ish)

Gave them lunch when they arrived then went out to the shopping centre.

I just couldn't face them demolishing the place when I has only just got it back to rights after last week ;-) ;-)

Gins hope the spawn is now in the park.

OH is away to pick up something to eat and we have an empty nest if only for a few hours :-)

Ooooerrr Gins - I think I could do without the 'spawn' thank you very much !!

Have been up since just after 6.30am. and feel as though I have done a full day's work already! Lamb hotpot in the slow cooker. Haven't used neck of lamb since I don't know when so I hope it turns out okay... :-S

Granddaughter is celebrating her 16th birthday today bless her. Doesn't seem 2 minutes since we were waiting for news of her arrival. Hoping to go up there shortly to see her......yay!!

Oh Dea....I forgot because I don't 'see' you over on the other side. My oldest friend, who lives in Texas, sent me an email on Saturday night. It was to say that her 8 month old grandson had died whilst at day care. It was a cot death apparently. Absolutely shattered by the news because it was her first grandchild and he was gorgeous.

There is a picture of him over there and his young parents have asked that today, people do an 'act of kindness' in memory of their baby. The baby's mum is a midwife in Dallas and the little family were due to go out to Malawi in the autumn to help underprivileged women....... :-(

So, so sad........

I don't know how anyone can get over something like that...........

It makes you feel very thankful for what you have got doesn't it?

I found a friend request on FB don't know how long it has been sitting there.

It was from a young guy I worked with a few years ago. We got on brilliantly he was like my 4th son. used to joke I was his Mum :-D

He has messaged me and we are going to catch up tonight :-D
