Yes - thanks Ginns - I have that from the outward bound UK list.

This was Hilda, Arthur Snrs. wife and his 2 children Sheila and Arthur Jnr.

I wanted to see the incoming one at the other end to see if it gave details of where they were going etc. and wondered about when they travelled from Australia to NZ.

Wondered also if there were any BMD's for any of them over there but it seems there is not much info available even if you have the worldwide membership.

Not to worry, I was only curious.

Thanks anyway - off now to brave the horrible wet windy nasty rainly weather to pick up the grandchildren. :-( :-( (That was meant for the weather NOT the grandchildren !! ;-) :-D )

See you later,

Hi

had a busy day. OH got a text at 6.50am to say dishwasher would arrive between 3.50pm and 7.50pm

We went and did the weekly food shop came home and had lunch.

Then OH suddenly thinks "Oh they cant get new dishwasher in as old one's plug is put through the back of kitchen unit.

Quick call to son. He comes empties cupboard and takes the socket out takes plug off old dishwasher and goes. Leaving mayhem behind him lol

I got a call at about 3.15 to say they would be here in about 30 minutes they arrived 20 minutes later.

took them about 15 minutes to take old one out and fit new one.

Then we had to get everything back where it should be.

Son will come and empty it all again tomorrow to fit socket back

We have the girls tomorrow and I am going to visit my sister with them.

Gins did you ever find those buttons?

Off to knit DIL's Mum (my friend ) has asked me to knit a hat for her grandsons Christmas .

I have been a busy beaver. Yesterday I used the free access on a couple of sites to find my maternal granddads army records.

Toots had found some for me 23 pages of them :-D

They were water and fire damaged but it is still brilliant to have them. I found a 2nd set for him he was attached to 2 regiments and they must have had their won records.

I still have to sit and compare them but it is him same number, home address and parents :-D :-D

I am off to the hairdressers soon then really need to get some Christmas shopping started :-D

I decided to go and get my hair done this afternoon.

It took ages about two and a half hours. It is nice though just wish they were faster.

I had promised to make lasagne tonight so just waiting on it cooking now.

DIL found some buttons she had cut off a Ted Baker cardigan. Tonight's job is to get F's cardigan finished so I can give her it tomorrow :-)

It is her 2nd birthday on Friday, can't believe it. P and F get the keys for house on Friday :-D :-D

Poor Fred no one has made breakfast.

Now where are you hiding?

I had breakfast ages ago so have left cereal, scrambled eggs, lots of bacon and vegetarian sausages all on the table.

Also tea, coffee and juices.

Got the girls catch you all later....
