Yes of sorts but it must look very funny.
I managed to get in and out a bit easier.
The pool was right opposite where my grandmother used to live.
She learnt to swim at 80.

Re Psalms Gins....well, the Book of Psalms didn't come from Palm Sunday as it is in the OT and Palm Sunday is in the NT. However, I think that some of the happenings of Palm Sunday were prophesied in Psalms and some of the prophetical books. But...am not a theologian...lol

LK.....I can't even swim.......

hangs head in shame.

memore than 2 weeks early, in labour for 28 hours, no sign of kid ... toss-up, forceps or caesar ...... luckily for me they opted for the caesar

or I might still be there!

Turned out I had a bump on the inside of my tail bone that kiddo couldn't get past!

sorry ... said kiddo phoned, so I've been talking to her for the last hour!

jax Report 17 Apr 2011 21:18

Did we ever meet at galas LK?
I also swam 6 or 7 days a week diving on a friday night life saving on a wednesday. When I was 13 I passed a life saving exam that swimming instructors have to take which gave me free admission in the pools in my area for a year.

I could not do it now Just getting changed would do me in and costume would not fit and the skimpy bikinis I was still able to wear when I was 50 would look awful now.

I found something out yesterday, that you all probably know

Ever since I joined fb, I've been merrily deleting (hiding) posts from my wall .... you know, so-and-so is now friends with so-and-so

But also some repeats of postings made elsewhere, eg, on ancestry or fmp

I THOUGHT that I was just deleting from MY wall, and that I could always still see the postings elswehere.

Discovered yesterday that it doesn't work that way.

Deleted a couple of Rene's posting ............... then discovered that means they're hidden from me even on the original site.

darn and blast it!

jax Report 17 Apr 2011 21:39

That one you helped on sylv on the other side was it difficult? as the census's spellings looked ok to me.
I saw it before you added but one of the people who had blocked me had clicked like so I did'nt bother

I dont know what you mean by "hide" unless you delete?

you can hide posts or all of someones posts on fb....I do it with my teenage nieces etc as they post such rubbish..

it was laughingly simple! Names were all there, no deep searching needed.

I said something the other day about being surprised at how naive soem of them are?!

If you have a post on your wall, say you having become friends with Fans, .......... if you click on the cross in the top right corner, it says Hide this Post, Hide all by Ja...x, Report as Spam

I've been clicking on the Hide this Post so I wouldn't get distracted by posts I had read and didn't want to read again

but now I've discovered that I cannot see such posts on the original place of posting, eg ancestry

I understand now Sylv
I hid one of my friends by mistake so if i wanted to see what she had posted I had to go to her wall.

I have hidden farmville posts now although I was really into it at one time.

wish I could do something about my eldest daughters posts and her swearing, it would'nt be so bad but I believe if I comment on her posts all my friends can see it....As she has her profile open to the world.

I did'nt want to take your glory away from you sylv lol...but it did look straight forward.

So annoying if you do not play.

jax

jax Report 17 Apr 2011 22:21

thing is

I thought I was just hiding Renes post on my wall ....... but I can't see it where she did originally post (the Clear / Cleal / Clean)

........ and I didn't mean to do that!

and I can't see how to reverse what I've done ................. don't think I can actually!

I just wonder who else I've done it to?!

Thinking, "oh, I can read that again when I go to their wall" ooops!

it was completely straightforward ....... just the fact that his mom had re-married!

I have no idea why she said it was a brick wall!
