Renes Report 17 Apr 2011 23:33

I have done over 100 mis trans on FMP --- they do them the next day -- or in many cases within a few hours --- even over the weekend

they sen email thanking you and one more when done -- brilliant

Dont suppose anyone can find the marriage for Henry and Sophia

have been looking for this Henry Palmer for over six months --- not helped that he insists on putting Little Bury Dorset -- not Little Bredy Dorset

but it is him --- they all use same name for kids as others do using bros and sisters over and over again

even my Nan and Grandad did

Renes

Oh well think I have done it wrong

Don't care as I have corrected it on ancestry....too much like hard work on FMP to change anything

I have loads in Hertfordshire they have been the easiest to find

Feeling a bit angry at the moment.
Had to go into my bank accounts to transfer some money into HID account as I have not recieved my new debit card yet.

While there I looked at my savings account which I was advised to open as it was the best interest rate at the time when I recieved an insurance pay out. it may have been 1.6% not good but better than nothing.

As they only pay interest once a year I never look at it but today I did and I have been given such a little amount 0.1% I am fuming now

Surely they should have contacted me they have done in the past by phone and my number has not changed....to tell me that the interest rate was rubbish...they have done me out of several hundred pounds I dont know if I have a leg to stand on??

all you can do is phone them tomorrow.

Do you have ING Bank in England .......... it's all on line, but they give the best rate

Yeah I think I have seen that Sylv.

I will call them and also mention I am a Bank staff pensioner and I have to use that to live on.

They even let me put another very large amount in being the lump sum from my pension in this account a year ago and did not say a word.

They rang me twice this week to tell me someone was trying to use my debit card...and they call that fraud...I would call this much worse

do talk to your bank, but also check ING ... I've ahd a small account with them for the last 6 or 7 years, and have got good interest rates.

you have now been thanked on that thread by Roz

jax Report 18 Apr 2011 04:01

Yeah I saw that Sylv.

I have just looked at this account details and the interest rate was 1.60% with 1.50% bonus for the first year......so after one year it went down to 0.10%.

Now I see it that the bank should have informed me of this as they suggested this account in the first place, but did'nt mention what would happen after a year.

I have banked with them for 32 years so surely that stands for something.

Yes interest rates have gone up a bit ING direct offer 3% so I will be moving it as soon as possible

All you need is an account in another bank that you can transfer money to as you need it .... done by a phone call.

The other alternative would be to talk to a financial advisor, and see about investing that money so that you get an even better return

NOT a bank advisor ................. but one that is reputable.

I was thinking of buying a large block of premium bonds last year but parents advised me not too...wish I had now even if I had won £50 it would have been better than what I got.

I dont want it all tied up because I need to dip into it each month unless HID starts earning some money.

I will look into it tomorrow though
