I never had a chippy tea ..................... or any chips & fish ............. at home.

The only time we'd have it would be when we went on holiday (usually to Scarborough), just once during the time we were there, and then we had to sit inside to eat it ........ even though it was wrapped in newspaper, Mum didn't like to sit outside.

The used to be a large shed-type building on the fish docks at Scarborough, where you could go to eat your own food, and buy mugs of tea from a stall inside.

deprived I was ;-)

Sylvs

JB hates eating chips outside...I think they taste much better in the out doors

Cynthia Report 18 Nov 2011 22:19

Wrapped in newspaper was the best!

We had a chat about babby's yed and pea wet a while ago didn't we Dea? ;-)

Poor Sylvs.........you certainly were deprived. The luxury of fish and chips occasionally.....mmmmmmmm. And yes, they taste much better out of doors with lashings of salt.

On that mouth watering note I will say goodnight all ~~~~~~~~~~

Ohh Sylvia,

I have just been reading that thread.

How totally mindless and cruel........... I just do not have any words to describe it!!!

People who do such evil things, in my opinion, are not 'human beings' and their punishment should reflect that but I fear it won't!

I am quite speechless...........

LK, did you find the family on the 61/71 census on the Ashny thread?

Will go and have a look, thanks for helping but I feel guilty now, it taking up all of your day off :(

Cynthia

Cynthia Report 19 Nov 2011 09:51

Morning all......potato pancakes should do the job this morning I think. Thank you Sylvs. Ooops, looks like we're running out of milk.....will go and get some.

I saw the heading of that awful thread and I can't read it either. I find cruelty to anything very difficult to handle. :-( :-(

My nice young decorator has arrived and is now pottering around upstairs. He has just finished painting our church - now that was a job and a half for one guy although he had a mate come in occasionally. It was a bit like having Michaelangelo on top of all the scaffolding!!

I'll have a quick look at that thread LK.

Cynthia

Cynthia Report 19 Nov 2011 10:06

LK......had a look but the parishes mentioned don't come under the MCA area.....sorry.

There is this link which may be vaguely helpful though......

I found a couple of Roffey marriages on it.
