Gracie, I was in the Dandenongs either August or September and I found it so hard to believe that that area could be a fire risk in the summer. I visited Maryville about 9 months before the place burnt down. Was such a lovely little place, in fact you have so many lovely little places we have had some wonderful holidays over there.

Jax I had staples when I had the gall bladder removed, quite a long scar and they said it was key hole.... must've been a dam big key... probably the one from my 21st. I also worked at the hospital so I knew so many people and had visitors all the time. Another woman in my ward was dead jealous because she never saw her surgeon again and mine popped in every day and even sat in the chair and popped his feet up on my bed.

Oh.... we have Twix bars here... I thought it was twixt duh!!

I don't think I would like that in a sandwich, same as deep fried Mars bars do not appeal to me...

I will toast the odd marshmallow when out with the boy scouts.

No I do not think I would like them in a sandwich either.

Infact we bought a box of celebrations and the only ones I have not eaten are the Twix I prefered the Galaxy Truffle

Gracie - I hope all goes well with the Op.

The wheelchair sounds like a good idea for your museum visit - that way you will be able to enjoy it.

The free wheelchairs that were in a museum in NY, were electric and very big!

Or one of those kiddicarts with a flag on the back, that people use here for their littlies in the supermarket and shopping malls... ;-)

When I was using crutches I would put them in the shopping trolley and use that for support around the supermarket and then OH walks off with trolley and I am left standing holding onto a shelf and he has disappeared around a corner.... :-0

Pxx :-)

Dea

Dea Report 15 Nov 2011 08:12

OOOhhh that is SO funny Persie, though I am sure it wasn't for you at the time ;-)

I can just picture you hanging onto the shelf and him off round the corner with the trolley :-D :-D

I bet he wasn't allowed to forget that in a hurry!

Talk about the walking wounded.........too many scars for so early in the morning........arrrggghhh.

Please may I join the queue in the doc's surgery this morning?

Have been up since 6am cos OH has had a bad night with neck pain (and it was not me being a pain in the neck either). Gave him two co-codamol and he has finally stopped mooching around and has gone to sleep in his recliner.

Problem is, I need to wake him in half an hour to take his Parky's meds or it will throw his system out....... :-S :-S

Won't be able to go to my desk this morning cos I never leave him until he is up and dressed. :-(

I'll go and finish the stripping.............of the wallpaper.

Thank you for brekkie Sylvs.......I need coffee at frequent intervals.... ;-)

The wheelchair idea for Grace is very sensible - hope it all goes okay.

Back later ~~~~~

Yes Dea,

He is a laugh a minute... same supermarket different day, I go to get on the travelator with the trolley... he is ahead of the trolley... I let go of the trolley did not make it on to the travelator and it went down on its own with one crutch (I was down to one by then) in trolley... this other woman got all frantic wanted to help me on to it and pulled her trolley back... I said it is okay he will see to it. Yep he did he turned around saw what had happened grabbed crutch and threw it over on to the one going up. Frantic woman picked it up for me and two young teenage boys that travelled up behind it thought it very funny. You had to be there. ....

Sorry Cyns for interrupting... I do empathise with you... but I won't help you with the wall paper... have done it too many times to want to partake.

Himself is watching political drivel ... I am always amused that a person is standing in an area in the hopes that he can win a seat... :-)

Dea Report 15 Nov 2011 08:46

I am sitting here laughing so much I have tears running down my face and my husband thinks I am going quite mad :-D

Rats.

Missed breakfast. Keep getting power surges over past few days.
Just momentary.
Several times computers have gone off.
It has killed son's computer and the router.
I am riding on my daughters at the moment,

Any chance of brunch?
