SylviaInCanada Report 11 Dec 2011 07:11

I'm very late on

...... I went downtown to get one item,

got that,

then found 2 shirts for OH

and a pair of trousers and a top for me ..... both half-price :-D

came home

............ and had to start on finishing the Christmas letter, which took me all evening as I was trying to fit photos into the text.

Every year, I do the same. I leave it to the last minute, then have problems with the combining ............... and give up because it just won't work.

Then I have to print one page in black ink, and put it back through to have the colour photo(s) printed.

memo to self ............ must start earlier, and work out how to wrap text around photo!

Good morning Sylvia......looks like I am first down this morning :-D

I see you had a lonely night but at least you were busy with your printing. My daughter once showed me how to wrap around - at least I think that's what it was called. I can move pictures around in text no bother now. However, I have no idea of what the images that I click on are really called..... I know them as 'the dog'........and 'the gate' because that's what they look like to me :-D :-D :-D

Thank you for breakfast but I can wait for brunch........I've spotted the creme brulee you see :-D

Naughty Jonesey........mind you, you-know-who is so busy child minding that she may not notice. I think she has found that there is more than one 5 o'clock in a day.... ;-)

Fairly busy day today so back later ~~~~~~~~~~

In the beginning laines, we used to fight over the 00 numbers!!

Getting to 1000 message posting was a great delight, then 1100, etc etc. Fans was the one who fought over it most violently !!!

As we are now on such a high number and Fans is REALLY busy, it has dropped off quite a lot but some of us just can't resist (for old time's sake'!)

No decorations for me this year!! :-D

Do you colour co-ordinate your tree Dea? Or do you do like me - and get all the old decorations out from when the children were little?

lainie39

lainie39 Report 11 Dec 2011 16:00

32,215 !!! :-D Found it!!!!

Dea

Dea Report 11 Dec 2011 16:06

Yep Lainie,

No colour co-ordination for me !!

I have some decorations from when I was 'little' and others bought since which are still VERY old !!

The grandchildren LOVE it !!! - They have their favourites! - especially the glass globe with the penguins in and the glass twisted icicles and the little wooden santas and elves!!!

At home, they have 3 main trees - one gold, one silver and I think, one green - all very co-ordinated and VERY beautifull I might add, but not for me !!!

lainie39 Report 11 Dec 2011 16:10

I bet she does!!!

A lady knitted decorations for our tree when the children were little - santas, angels, elfs, snowmen etc - and I still have some that I remember when I was a child. The old glass baubles though are all slowly but surely breaking - each year I find another broken when I get them out - so sad!

Dea

Dea Report 11 Dec 2011 16:16

Never mind Lainie,

You can get them all out NEXT year and enjoy them !!!
