They have given her dinner it is called "Chef's choice" she took a photo of it..(LOL) .. Sylvs could run rings around the hospital chef and then some. She is then on nil by mouth and tomorrow they are going to stick a camera down her throat but what is really annoying is if they don't have time tomorrow (Tues) they will do it Thurs... buddy charming really.
She is not back at where she had the operation she is in Wellington Hosp which is just down the road from her place, before she was up the valley about 30km's away.

I just googled Denver Omelette... one of them was not exactly pleasant reading. :-|

I know HID might reckon on a laptop screen but a note book screen is very clear and easy to read... I have looked at my daughters one...

I think Ja....x should have a try and a play around on them as well before hand.

Hi all :-)

Persie hope your daughter is feeling better soon.

Dea thanks for the additional info, I read back and found it! Can you believe none of the people that I wrote to asking if they had the same person in their trees and offering them the documents have replied. I know i should not be suprised, but I though some one would at least want the baptismal certificate that is what umm 130 years old. I would be so excited if anyone found anything of my family!

Ugggh I HATE hot Christmas's. I really should have been born back in Scotland or something!

Hi Dea,

Wow I reckon you have craked the Tilly bit of the puzzle. A number of the photo's are to a Freddy and then there is a Fred Matthews with John at a much later point in time.

What was really odd is that I hadn't looked at this stuff in oh maybe 5 years. When I did I realised that I have a large number of Matthews in my tree and now even odder, is a number of Marshall's. Both of these branches also had people who emigrated out here. Wouldn't it be strange if any of them turned out to be related..what would be the odd's! (Probably nil, but..)

Persie don't tell your daughter about Gracie, she might scare her of children for a LONG time! LOL she saw Santa on a fire truck tonight and ran up to him and asked him for a baby sister!

ANY IDEAS HOW TO TACKLE THIS ONE! LOL I can assure you I don't have a baby in her Christmas stocking!

We went to PC world a couple of months ago to have a look at laptops but they all have these wires attached to stop you nicking them

It was a bit embarrassing when the alarms went off :-D How can I tell the weight when I cannot put it on my lap?

I am not much of a reader and only like biographys anyway, but have bought HID a kindle for xmas so at least I can see what they are like.

Just go to the 'Customer Services' when you arrive Ja....x and tell them that you need an assistant to go around with you and help you assess the products !!

Maybe e-mail your local branch in advance ???

Go on your 'scooter or better still, in your wheelchair! and insist that they unplug the products so that you can 'try them out' ;-)

I think I will go to customer services next time Dea

Oh I am in a wheelchair or scooter, I could'nt walk to the door let alone around a store.

Trouble is when you are low down it is difficult to see and they tend to have so many on display when they are the same model but a different colour...soooo annoying

ja...x

Dea

Dea Report 19 Dec 2011 16:04

That is exactly why you should let them know in advance Ja....x - then they can give you someone to go around with you and help you choose the right one !!!

Most places nowadays can be quite helpful - PC World or Curry's - but Curry's always need to be advised prior to the visit, I find !!

Ey up........I thought I had posted this morning before I went to work but its not there so I couldnt have?

Ja..x asn Ipad2 is really light and you can hold it on one hand but you need to check the size to see if its a big enough screen

Pers, hope your daughter gets well, as soon as......the hospital dont seem in any rush do they

jax

jax Report 19 Dec 2011 18:21

I have been put off the Ipad now as it does not do everything I want.

As for holding it thats fine... but I do not have full use of my right hand anymore so it would need to be supported somehow.

ipads can stand jax, they have a gizmo at the back. What about one of those lap trays? I have a computer tray but an ordinary beanie type tray is just as good.

Had a sudden thought and looked through google.....you may find these sites helpful - there are more....

Ok this is how I use my laptop now. I cannot sit up too long so I lie on the sofa with a beanie tray with laptop I also have a dinner placemat wedged underneath sticking out the side with a wireless mouse on.

I broke the buttons on the laptop so I could'nt copy and paste, but now I have the wireless mouse it is easier because I can now just use my left hand.

If I had an ipad it would have to do everything, and I have been told they do not...so I have dismissed that now

Does Renes use an IPad? I seem to think she might.....she might be able to give you some advice as what it does and doesnt

You can get it with 3G so you can use along side your iphone but its £100 more than the wifi one
