There is a brownstone for sale in New York ........ the one whose exterior views featured in 'Breakfast at Tiffany's'.

It is divided into 2 apartments, and the owner wants well over $5 million US for it.

Happy New Year to all <3

Son was working until 6am as the bar got an extended license and now he is partying with friends!

I'll have a nice cuppa and have a look through Sylvs huge menu :-D

Gin,

Your latest post reminded me of something.

Every year the MD of a firm that I worked for used to send a personal printed Christmas card to each employee. As well as a Christmas message he always included details of how his children were progressing in life and what their educational or work achievements during the year were. Things like, daughter Jenny was accepted at Cambridge or daughter Kate now working as a PA were the usual sort of snippet. One year he said his youngest son, Tim had become "Something in the city" which he then qualified, "A barman"

Thats what I meant...

My boy works in the city and they have an extended license to trade until 6am!

His real job is being a lazy student but he doesnt get paid for that ;-)

MY GOODNESS !!!!!

Sylvs has 'gorn overboard' with the food today - It will take me all day just to read the menu and even I cannot eat all that lovely food!

I think I will have to leave the 'fishy things' so I should then be able to manage the rest :-P :-D :-D

Thank you Sylvia <3 - This should keep me from starving until tomorrow's breakfast :-)

I just love an all day spread.....I can pick and choose what I want when I want :-D

Jonesey, I send out a similar epistle each year, the difference being that mine is an amusing month by month account of the disasters we have endured. I usually say that I will omit telling people about our appointments with doctors and the dentist in order to save on paper!

I have friends who really look forward to it because it is funny. One friend wrote back and said I should be a standup comedian!! Nah......prefer to sit down and tell jokes really..... :-D :-D

Thanks Dea.....yes, I had a lovely time thank you. Such nice folks they are.

No worries Gins,

As much as I do love those fritters, I am just TOO stuffed !!!

I have just had the most delicious fillet steak for lunch with cheesy mashed potatoes, carrots, peas and peppercorn sauce, garlic bread etc.. !! - Gorgeous !!!

AND 2 glasses of the most excellent Cava !!! (Don't worry, I can drink a bit of white, it is only the red and anything stronger that makes the meds go 'wild' !!! ;-) :-D

I have only had one chocolate out of my giant box of Thorntons so far and still have not got room for another !!!
