Yes Dea thats him!

Renes.........its a hoola hoop, to trim down your waist and tummy but its not a kids one. They are weighted, mines 3kg so you have to work your waist hard to keep it up

It really does work

I have a pilates machine and , when I needed it,I could recommend it !!

It worked really well !!!

BBC4....just watched a programme on drinking over the last 100 years. It was interesting watching all the footage from each decade

It ended with the stats.....we drink the same amount now in the UK as we did 100 years ago.......thats not the impression the media give us!

Off to bed now, with a drink..............water I may add

re the drinking stats ......


I know that we, and most of our friends here, drink far less now than we did in the 1960s and 70s.

I've had to stop drinking alcohol altogether as it doesn't like me :-( .... but the others also drink far far less than they did


That does NOT seem to apply to many friends we have visited in the UK



most of our friends here also will not drive if they have had more than 1 small glass of wine, and that with food and about 3 or 4 hours before getting behind the wheel of a car.

Light Breakfast

Fresh fruit salad with vanilla yoghourt
broiled grapefruit with brown sugar

French (eggy) toast, maple syrup, Golden syrup


Toast (sourdough, rye, white, whole grain, 100% brown, Hovis, gluten free),
hot cinnamon rolls,
barm cakes
cheddar chive rolls

smoked salmon quiche

lemon and nut muffins, rhubarb and strawberry muffins,

jams, jellies


Tea, coffee, juices


(some Canadian bacon, turkey sausage or sausage patties, eggs, tomatoes, mushrooms, olive oil, in the hidey place to cook up for the very hungry ones!)



also a big pot of stirfry (chicken or vegetable) for those who want lunch






enjoy
