Cinnamon rolls again please.. they are so nice...give them a bit of a warm up and then put the vanilla yoghurt on them..

They would also be nice with brandy custard....

Dea.... we have Radio Replay for our National Station which is similar to Radio 4... and we can listen to it on the puter if we miss anything good because some dingaling rings on the phone or knocks on the door etc.

Sometimes himself sleeps in on a Sunday through what he wants to listen to so he plays it later on.

Night Sylvs. thanks for breakfast. Morning everyone else.

When I hear about how much alcohol each of us is purported to have drunk each year, I always wonder who's drunk my bit! Not much of a drinker really and only like 'sweetish' drinks. Didn't have anything over Christmas cos I feel I ought to have my wits about me these days....what with one thing and another with my lot!!

Been blowing a gale here. Didn't know we were in for such high winds.

Have a good day....... :-D

Oh To Be 12 Again...

A man was sitting on the edge of the bed, observing his wife, looking at herself in the mirror. Since her birthday was not far off he asked what she'd like to have for her Birthday.

'I'd like to be twelve again', she replied, still looking in the mirror.

On the morning of her Birthday, he arose early, made her a nice big bowl of Coco Pops, and then took her to Alton Towers theme park. What a day!

He put her on every ride in the park; the Death Slide, the Corkscrew, the Wall of Fear, the Screaming Monster Roller Coaster, everything there was.

Five hours later they staggered out of the theme park. Her head was reeling and her stomach felt upside down. He then took her to a Mc Donald's where he ordered her a Happy Meal with extra fries and a chocolate shake. Then it was off to the cinema with popcorn, a huge Cola, and her favourite sweets...........M&M's. What a fabulous adventure!

Finally she wobbled home with her husband and collapsed into bed exhausted. He leaned over his wife with a big smile and lovingly asked, 'Well Dear, what was it like being twelve again?'

Her eyes slowly opened and her expression suddenly changed. 'I meant my dress size, you retard!!!!'

The moral of the story: Even when a man is listening, he is gonna get it wrong.

You are SO right Jonesey. Any woman reading that story would know immediately what his wife was on about. sigh................. :-P

Busy afternoon.....quick lunch with one friend and then took my 'poorly' friend out to a garden centre for half an hour. It was a lovely afternoon and she really enjoyed the outing. :-D :-D

AAaaaahh now you see Gins, i have eaten diet food :-D

The diet is basically a no complex carb diet. No Bread, Pasta, Rice, white vegetables (Potato's, mushrooms etc etc)

The diet is mainly about fresh easy living.... it helps to change your eating habits as well as lose weight.

You can eat as much meat, fruit or vegetables as you like in each meal..... you can even have Chilli Con Carne for dinner (it only has all the allowed ingredients)

Tonight i had a 16oz rump steak and a huge salad at the local pub, was delish....

The diet isn't about portion control...far from it, the more you eat the more weight you lose. It's about using more calories than are in the foods to digest the foods!!! Altho you end up on about 1000 calories a day, your constantly full because your body finds it harder to digest the foods you eat and therefore digests slower and burns more calories up doing so!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Most versions promise a 10-pound weight loss during the 12-day diet. Dieters who want more than 12 days of monotony must wait two days before starting the diet again. Exercise is recommended in some versions and absent in others. Long-term weight control is not part of the diet plan.
The Grapefruit Diet: What You Can Eat....
In most versions of the Grapefruit Diet, a small variety of foods are required at breakfast, lunch, dinner, and at bedtime. Dieters are encouraged to drink black coffee and plenty of water throughout the day.
Sample Meal Plan:
* Breakfast
2 eggs, 2 slices of bacon, black coffee, 1/2 grapefruit or 8 ounces grapefruit juice
* Lunch
Salad with salad dressing, unlimited meat, and 1/2 grapefruit or 8 ounces grapefruit juice
* Dinner
Red or green vegetables (except starchy ones such as peas, beans, corn, sweet potatoes) or salad, unlimited meat or fish, and 1/2 grapefruit or 8 ounces grapefruit juice
* Bedtime snack
8 ounces skim milk
In the Grapefruit Diet you can use all the butter and salad dressing you desire and prepare foods in any method, including fried. Grapefruit juice must be unsweetened. Any food or beverage not on the diet is not allowed. Snacking is only permitted after dinner. Drink 64 ounces of water daily. Eat all of the approved foods.
The Grapefruit Diet: How It Works....
This low-carbohydrate, moderate-protein diet is another low-calorie diet averaging 800-1,000 calories in most versions. Most people will lose weight -- with or without grapefruit on the Grapefruit Diet -- when calories are dramatically reduced to this level. Unfortunately, there are no explanations for how the mysterious grapefruit enzyme works and why it is only contained in grapefruit and not other citrus fruits
Cynthia
Cynthia Report 12 Jan 2012 21:35
It's worth checking on any meds being taken though. Apparently, grapefruit has an adverse affect on some drugs. My OH can't have grapefruit. Gotta be careful unfortunately. :-(
WayneTracey
WayneTracey Report 12 Jan 2012 21:59
Yeah diabetics cannot have Grapefruit juice either... the diet works just as well without the juice :-)
