They're either watching that TV singing programme, or stuck in front of Lord of the flipin' Rings (again)

Hope you feel better soon - there isn't much you can do with a broken toe except strap it to the next one :-0

Dea

so sorry to hear about your toe.

I had a small frozen leg of lamb (about 2 lbs weight) fall from our freezer onto my toes about 15-20 years ago.

It didn't half hurt!!

Det is correct ..... they wouldn't do much if you did go to A&E. They'd just strap the toe to the next one to keep it in place.

R.I.C.E is probably the best thing to do .................

R = REST

I = ICE

C = COMPRESSION

E = ELEVATE (to above the height of your heart)

I think the recommendation is something like Ice for about 20 minutes every 1-2 hours for the first 2-3 days

Have your foot elevated even in bed ......... use pillows

Try to avoid putting weight on the broken toe(s)

Go to the doctor or A&E if ....................

........ there is an open wound, or bone has broken through the skin

......... there is a loss of feeling in the toe(s)

......... the toes develop a strange colour (eg, go blue)

......... you're not happy about it for any reason

and that is the sum of my knowledge!!
