HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Linds <3 <3 <3

You got off quite lightly with your car repair Linda - seems quite reasonably priced and very quick service ;-)

I am sure that your friend's family were comforted by your visit Cynths! - Will they stay in the area or will they have to move away ? I was wondering if perhaps they were in a property belonging to the church ?

Hopde everyone has a good day. <3

<3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 HAPPY BIRTHDAY LINDA <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

Hope you have a great day.....!

Dea, you are quite correct. My friend's widow lives in the Vicarage and, according to strict legal strictures, is supposed to move out within two months of her bereavement. However, she has been told that more time will be allowed and no pressure put upon her.......at the moment.

I feel heartily sick for her and her daughter. Imagine trying to look for a new house whilst still reeling from the shock of your finding your husband dead on the floor????

The 'powers that be' ie the Diocese, have told the parish that a neighbouring vicar is going to replace your lost friend and will take over the parish. We are up in arms!! How dare they try and replace someone who was so much loved within 4 weeks of his death. Watch this space!! I may hit the headlines yet! :-| :-| :-|

Anyway, am off to the dentist soon.....see you later ~~~~

Hello Everyone,

Thank you for all the birthday wishes both on here and over there <3

I got up this morning to discover that my "friend" had stuck a placard in our cherry tree saying "Happy xxth Birthday Linda " on BOTH sides so no one would miss it!!

She is so off the party list !!

I have been spoiled with messages from around the globe from all our gang and my son who is in China till Thursday and my friends in Dubai, Australia and USA.

It's lovely to know that so many are thinking of me as I reach a milestone age :-)

I will be out for dinner with Oh tonight and will open a bottle of bubbly later will leave on table with some cake help yourselves please xx

Cynthia I think the Diocese could have chosen their words more carefully perhaps saying "the new vicar .... will start ....

So hard for the family to have to move on top of their loss x

Cyns ...............

I'm lost for words also!

OH's sister told her church on Sunday morning that she was resigning the position, and that was her last day, even though she hadn't yet told her Bishop 'cos he was out of town!

She's in the town for this coming week .............. Friday is her daughter's birthday and Monday is Canadian Thanksgiving, then she leaves for her trips.

This morning went really well. The weather was beautiful and sunny. The spot chosen was in a quiet but accessible area, and everything was ready to pop the container into the ground. There were 6 of us, plus the Director and Assistant Director, and we all took turns in putting some soil back into the ground.

A few tears by the widow, but I think she is doing as well as can be expected.

Don't think I said ............... he's gone into the ground in the Garden where we all worked. Very appropriate, we all thought!

We are going to stay with her for Christmas, and hope to get over there in the next 4 or 5 weeks, just for a couple of days.

One of the long time friends, who had moved up north 35 years ago, arrived rather unexpectedly this weekend, so he was able to attend.

I'm very tired now!

OH also had to visit the dermatologist first thing ..................... he decided to scrape off (!!) whatever-it-is on the tip of his ear. Then put on a dressing.

At dinner time, I noticed red dripping onto OH's shirt and cardi :-(

We replaced the dressing ....................... but it happened again very quickly. Now, we're wondering if we should have left the dressing along, and just keep piling more dressings on top.

It should scab over in 2 or 3 days :-0
