SylviaInCanada Report 16 Oct 2013 20:09

Gee Report 16 Oct 2013 20:23

Sylvs

I've seen 'specialists' for months!

I wont go private....I pay for NHS

Bit of a socialist!

SylviaInCanada

SylviaInCanada Report 16 Oct 2013 20:33

hey ...........

I don't pay to see specialists here, as long as I have been referred by my GP, or another specialist.

we don't have much private medical available, a little bit but not much.

But I think we pay more than you in terms of monthly premiums to the Provincial Health Programme, Pharmacare.

But everyone with more than minimumincome has to do that, so it isn't "special treatment" ........................ and even those who are below minimum income level get the same treatment as me, only the government pays their premiums.

Gee

Gee Report 16 Oct 2013 20:48

Seems like, same as the UK

We just wait longer!

Edit: Missed that bit.....I don't pay to see a specialist

SylviaInCanada

SylviaInCanada Report 16 Oct 2013 21:01

'course you don't, if you go NHS ........................

but you would if you went private!

and that was the bit I was responding to. :-)

I have given this year's lesson to the Resident at the Family Practice Clinic :-D

I don't think he had done a punch biopsy before, so that was my lesson for him :-D

The Staff Doctor was also there and guided him through the procedure .............. which also told me what they were doing and how they were doing.

It might take up to 3 weeks to heal :-0

Problem of course is that I don't stop bleeding easily, and the shin is an area that can bleed a lot.

so, tonight ............................

I will dress OH's ear, and OH will have to add another dressing on top of the one that is on my shin :-D

I go back for the result in 2 weeks time ..................... on Hallowe'en

Gee

Gee Report 17 Oct 2013 06:46

Gins ...............

you're quite right!!!

I actually had to get OH to change the tape holding the dressing in place.

I get a reaction to most kinds ................. I thought paper tape was generally no problem, but it began itching wherever the tape was in contact with my skin :-(
