Phewww er !!
I took the grandchildren home and went up to my office to have a browse around on here and suddenly I was hit by those 'hot flushes' !!!
I thought that had all finished about 15 years ago ;-) :-D :-D
I then realised that all my radiators were pumping out heat at an incredible rate
I think that my central heating thermostat must have gone 'doolally' :-S
Anyway, I have turned them all off now and will sort it in the morning!Q
It is SO hot in my house - all the windows are open and if anyone wants to join me for a sauna or a summer barbacue supper there is plenty of spiced chicken, rice and spaghetti bolognaise - you are all very welcome!!! :-D

Hi everyone
Gosh, Dea!! Your house must have been hot!!!
I was at the docs today ......... it seems that they are happy to leave my bp medications as they are at the moment, my "poo" test was OK, but they want to do a punch biopsy on a thingy on my shin, "just to be sure" :-( . So I have to go again next week to have that done :-( :-( :-(
The weather is quite beautiful here ..................... it has been really sunny for the last 3 days, cool (ca 10-15C in the daytime), and getting down to around 6 or 7C overnight.
I have 2 Jade plants that spend the summer out on my sundeck, but they spend the colder months on a large windowsill in the basement. I had OH bring them in late on Wednesday night when I realised it might get as low as 5C. I hope I hadn't left them out there too late in the month!
It is Canadian Thanksgiving on Monday ................ we will be just the 2 of us this year, but have ordered a turkey breast from the butcher.
Take care everyone
s xx

Good morning all :-(
Yes - It WAS hot Sylvia but it is much cooler now - I will have a look at the heating system later ;-) :-D
Thanks for putting the kettle on Ginns - Do you want to share some danish pastries and croissants while I make a start on breakfast?
Porridge, of course! Plently of fresh fruit to choose from to accompany it.
Eggs, any way you want them.
Bacon, sausages, fried bread, mushrooms, tomatoes all cooking nicely.
Various hams and cheeses with crackers or warm fresh bread rolls,
Toast and various sweet or savoury spreads.
Enjoy...........

We had grandchildren yesterday after school and, as you know, little grandson is just 5 and started school a few weeks ago.
It is an excellent school and they must have already started to teach the children about what to do when the fire bell rings.
I was downstairs cooking tea and I had forgotted to close the door from kitchen to hall. There is a smoke alarm just outside that door, in the hall and if I cook toast ot anything a bit smoky it sets the alarm off so I usually close the door to prevent this.
The alarm went off and grandchildren were upstairs with grandad.
Little grandson quickly asked what it was and grandad said it was the smoke alarm. Grandson stood up immediately and asked - "do we have to leave now"? at the same time, grabbing his big sister's hand and heading for the door.:-D :-D :-D
It is very good that they do teach them such things so early though. ;-)

Good morning all :-)
Well, I say 'all' but I know that most people are too busy today to pop in for breakfast so I will do a couple of poached eggs and crumpets in case Ginns arrives and some bacon butties for me (plus some extra bacon in case of visitors) <3
Yes, my little grandson does pay attention at school, he is learning such a lot and he is very helpful. - The other day we picked him up and he had a big proud smile on his face as he told us "I undid all Wendy's buttons today ;-) :-D :-D :-D (Apparently she couldn't manage them herself ............. ;-) )
He does make us laugh <3
I doubt though that he will be confessing to us who's buttons he has been undoing in 10 years time ;-) :-D

Ooohh err !
I have just been 'threatened' in the supermarket !! :-S
I was in there and picked up 2 loaves of bread from the shelf and wanted to have them sliced.
I had to push my trolley about 4 feet to where the man was who would slice them.
Between me and there was a couple, standing in the centre of the narrow isle perusing the various bread products.
It seemed logical to me, rather than pull my trolley backwards for several yards, do a tricky 3 point turn and then go around 3 central bread stands that I should politely ask the couple if I could please squeeze past.
Well, they gave me a very nasty glare and stepped back, allowing me to pass - I thanked them.
A few moments later the large man gave me a nasty look and told me I should have walked around them, gesticulating the route I should have taken !!
I, feeling magnanimous, apologised for having made them walk an extra yard (slight exaggeration as it was 1 step back and another step forward but I suppose there were two of them !!)
The very large man looked back at me very nastily and said "you should be VERY careful!!"
So, I, in turn, rose up to my full 5 feet 1/4 inch in height and told him "and so should you" !!!
His wife hurredly moved him away............
Now, my question to Ginns is .........
Knowing that in the past when I have attended various Management Courses and have often disagreed with the tutors about the difference between 'Assertive' and 'Aggresive' - which one was I being here??? ;-) :-D

Thank you for that Jonesey - I am very wary of putting info on FB and have nothing on my timeline.
I just pop in for a few seconds from time to time to look at photo's and things posted by people on here when they have told me to take a look.
I really don't feel comfortable over there and this is even further proof of why I should not.

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.......................wow! I am tired! Two very long days and one more to go........zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz working with some wonderful, wonderful people.
Poor Dea....there are some very rude people about and I am glad you stood your ground! Well done you!
As for FB. I still maintain that it all boils down to sensible posting. Don't post anything you don't want people to know about or to see!!! Anything I post on my time line or someone else's....all are welcome to read. :-D
