Gins :-P <3

Cynthia come back please and enlighten us :-S

Had GD's today went food shopping for the party and have done the kitchen and living room so hopefully only need a tidy up. Got washing done tomorrow got to Costco to get the cakes and a few bits and pieces and some Christmas pressies!

I had to borrow a vase today as I got lots of flowers and really didn't want to buy another one the smell in the house is lovely :-) :-)

No 1 son and partner got me a lovely ring. No 2 son came round with my card and flowers and says he will bring my present to the party.

No 3 son (in China home tomorrow) sent me a text and asked his partner to get me flowers which she did :-D

OH says he will take me out to pick a present after the party

I feel very spoiled and lucky :-)

My friend who has breast cancer had her op this morning she phoned her hubby to see what was keeping him from visiting!! (He had been told to call first)

We will call him later as he is probably visiting her just now.

I wouldn't mind Dea, but since my friend's death, I have been back on chocolate and crisps!!!!! I call it comfort eating....OH calls it summat else ;-)

I have been busy today though. There is a thread on our diocesan page on the other side and, apparently, the diocese are not happy with some of the comments.

In the words of the prophet. Tuff. :-D

Also had a foot massage which was great........

Gins ........

problem is no-one really tells you what to do with things like that!

I think we need to put another dressing over the one that I put on ........ the bleeding seems to have stopped. It isn't dripping anyway!!! But the pad does look discoloured, and not too appetising for others to see.

Any suggestions for how to get the dressing off without removing the scab in 2 or 3 days time?????

I should add the wound is on the back of his ear, near the top, and the tip. So he can't really see to do anything

Gee Report 9 Oct 2013 22:16

Try....wetting the dressing with (sterilised) water, a lot, and leave it to soak through, before taking off....gently

BUT.............not yet, give it a few days

SylviaInCanada Report 9 Oct 2013 23:46

Hi Gins

Thanks xxxx

I wasn't thinking of taking it off today!!

I did put some more gauze over the top, and more taping.

It's now a much larger dressing than the doc put on!!

OH says it doesn't bother him that it is so obvious .............. but didn't like the comments from a couple of people this morning, full of dire warnings re infection and what "happened to my b-i-l" etc :-(

Gee

Alice Munro, a Canadian short story writer, has won the Nobel Prize for Literature :-D

Unfortunately, I am not much of a fan of short stories, so I have not read many of her works
