Dea My OH also had an early appointment for his flu jab today :-)

Gins why were yuou up so early??

The guys who were cutting the trees in our back garden have just left and they have done a good job.

The trees are actually our neighbours but he kept saying he would do them then

got quotes and put it off for another year. When these guys knocked at the door I

went and spoke to him and gave him the "speech" that they were over the legal

height limit for leylandi and that on this occasion only we would pay half of the cost.

Only IF he did it now. He agreed so now we have light

I hate those buddy trees, our neighbour has them too and only cuts his side :-| :-|

I was up early because I just woke up! I went back to bed for an hour though

Well Linds - I hope your OH feels better than I do after that flue jab !!

I put my jimmy jams on about 2.30 and went back to bed with 2 hot water bottles :-(

Couldn't sleep but at least I managed to get warm and stop shivering :-)

Got up about 6.15 and now I am hot !!! and have a splitting headache - couldn't take the recommended paracetamol until now as I felt too queezy :-(

It had better stop me from getting flue ;-) :-D :-D

I expect I will be right as rain tomorrow but I feel a very early night coming on ;-)

I'm sure I will Ginns - I seem to remember that Cynthia was feeling quite poorly after her jab this year too :-(

I am sure it won't last long but if I were to catch the flu it would probably finish me off so, all in all, it is worth me having it !

Awww Dea, that happened to me too.....but i was okay the next morning .... it didn't affect OH at all :-D


Didn't go out for long today because of the dreaded eye drops...really does take me back to baby feeding days!!! :-D :-D :-D


I can see that I am going to be really confused tonight with the clocks going back. OH has set most of them now and yet all the computerised stuff still has today's time....hmmmm...I set my phone's alarm for a Sunday morning so....should I set it at today's time or tomorrow's :-S :-S :-S

Gins I wouldn't be in their shoes on Monday for a king's ransom ;-)

Go get em girl :-) I hate those flaming trees too they are ok if cut back every year but he won't spend the money thinks if he leaves them he will get a cheaper quote.

Yes - I know the clocks went back last night and it's very early but hubby's 'body clock' got him up as usual so I may as well make a start :-)

Thanks all - I feel a lot better this morning - still feel like a herd of elephants has trampled over my body and have a strange headache right between and across my eyes but I am sure a couple of paracetamol will sort that out ;-)

I will make a start on breakfast as I know Cynths at least will be up early, so.......

Porridge is on.........

Plenty of fresh fruits, yoghurts and cereals.

Toast is on - various breads, muffins and crumpets - help yourself to spreads...
(Olive oil, garlic, salt and squashy tomatoes are at the side in case you want to make yourself something special) ;-) :-D

Platters of assorted cheeses and hams - warm freshly baked bread rolls or crackers.

Now for the 'good bit' :

Bacon, sausages, grilled mushrooms and tomatoes, fried bread, baked beans, 'morcilla de Burgos', potatoes sauted with onion and garlic.

Eggs will be cooked to order!

I must be really cross with the bloke at work, I was dreaming about it all night. JB said I was chattering away in my sleep!

I have it on great authority that 'Armageddon' (in terms of weather conditions) is about to arrive but hubby will not believe me !

It is due here in the early hours of tomorrow morning and he is due to play golf then so assures me that it will just be 'light rain' !!

We shall see what we shall see !!! ;-) :-D :-D

I will be safely indoors until my hospital appointment late afternoon :-D
