Dea ...........

the consult on the 18th isn't at the hospital.

It's in his office ................... in the same building where my then-GP had his office back in the 1970s!

I think he will do the "procedure" then .................. he does OH's in the office, whether it is the scraping of 3 weeks ago, freezing the thingys with liquid nitrogen, or small "excisions".

The appointment is also mid-afternoon!

But, yes ........... there are some nice restaurants in the area!

Good morning everyone............ :-D

Thank you for the porridge Dea......it was bubbling away wonderfully. <3

It's a grey day here...........but at least it isn't raining. :-)

I went with our friend's widow to view the house she is hoping to move into soon. It was very nice and will be just right for her on her own. So sad that it's happened like this though. :-(

I am helping her to clear the vicarage and that's one of the reasons why I am so busy at the moment........but I am happy to do so. :-D

Off to start the day.......will pop back later. Can someone take care of Fred today please? :-D <3

You are such a wonderful person to have as a friend Cynths - she is very lucky ;-)

I am glad she has been able to find somewhere local - she must have many friends around her and that is what she needs at this time.

Gin,

Just thought that I would let you know.

Sheffield Indexers turned up trumps in locating my ancestors last resting place in Sheffield. I found my paternal great grandfather, both my paternal grandparents and my father's younger brother (Aged 14) all in the same grave in Burngreave cemetery.

Thanks for the link. :-D

Mornin all~~~~~

Cyns, glad your friend has found a nice place to live :-)

Hey Jonesey.......your lot are buried in the place as mine!

Jonesey

Jonesey Report 2 Nov 2013 10:36

Gin,

Those that I mentioned reside in section FF. I have also since found my paternal great grandmother in section P and another of their sons in section G5.

The fact that my great grandmother is the only one of the family not buried in consecrated ground has started me wondering why. Was it because she was a non-conformist or is there something odd or sinister about her death? I shall have to obtain a copy of her death certificate to see whether that reveals anything.

One of my ancestors, my 3x great grandmother committed suicide by slitting her own throat in 1843. I wonder if something similar happened two generations later in 1907. :-S

Gee

Gee Report 2 Nov 2013 10:57

So another interesting line to follow........let us know when you get the certificate

Mine are buried in F3

I aim to go to see if they have a headstone at some point. If you want, I'll see if I can find yours and if so, take a photo and email it over to you?

The kitchen is in an awful mess !!

Cynths has eaten all the porridge and I have finished off all the bacon butties but there are 'eggs benidict' congieling under the warmers which someone has very kindly switched off as they were of no further use !
