Hello everyone,

Our poor little dog is home BUT she still has a drain in her wound which if all goes well will come out on Friday and she has to stay in a cage for at least a week.

She is not happy and hasn't stopped whining since she got home in a huff, not talking to us wont eat and no one could get her to take her tablet.

I did and got it down her throat first time. My dad showed me many years ago how to get dogs to swallow tablets :-D

I got a call today to offer me a slot on Friday for a colonoscopy. :-|

Oh well at least it gets it over and done with before we go to Berlin

OH has his 3 month checkup tomorrow but I can't go with him .

I will be otherwise occupied ;-)

Gins office politics or school playground??

Boy will I be glad when it is Saturday!!

I hope you all have a better day today <3

Good morning and thank you for the porridge Dea..........you always remind me of the Goldilocks story when you make the porridge because you always get it just right! :-D

Hope your problem gets sorted soon Gins...it's horrible to have something 'hanging over' you like that.

Linds......poor Star.....hopefully though, it is the start of her recovery. Getting a dog to take a pill is difficult at times....did your dad show you how to open their mouths and push the pill to the back of their throats and then gently stroke the neck to help them to swallow????? :-D It's amazing what we do for the pets we love sometimes. Hope all goes well.

Food shopping - lunch with friend - Christmas shopping - friend calling round. I think that seems to be my agenda for today. Mind you, things can always change...... :-S

Back later ~~~

Cynthia that is exactly how Dad taught me to do it. we have taken her out the cage as it was horrible listening to her crying.

She was ok in one at the vets but she has never been in one here so thought she had done something.

My son and his partner slept on the floor downstairs to stay with her and she has been to the vet to have the drain checked and goes back at tea time tonight.

I am on the meds for my colonoscopy tomorrow :-(

Fun and games all round

Gee Report 21 Nov 2013 16:52

Linds ((((( <3)))))

Well I had fun and games this morning.....email down on both desktops, no wifi connection on iphone

JB came home ill at 9.30am (cold) and couldn't get wifi on his ipad or iphone...that's when the penny dropped, it must be the router!

Went to local pc shop, bought a new one, installed it and BINGO :-D The old one was at least three years old so I got my money out of it

Happy Days

Busy day Cyns..........makes a change ;-)

OH got on ok at hospital they will see him again in Feb then make his appointments every 4 months instead of every 3.

Cynthia you are as busy as me <3

I forgot to say that when my OH. son and his partner went to collect Star from the vets last night the vet was showing them how to d/w the drain she has fitted.

Son's OH fainted hit her head on a set of drawers. As they had all went in one car my OH phoned for our other son to go and pock him and Star up

No1 son took F to hospital in case she had concussion.

Thankfully she is ok. They ended up taking Star out of the cage and spent the night sleeping on the floor beside her. They also took today and tomorrow off work to care for her :-D :-D

Nice quiet house I have ;-)

Good news about your OH Linds. Just hope the doggie settles down soon .....awww.....such a shame.

Did my shopping.....had a lovely lunch.....then went Christmas shopping. Must have walked miles..........zzzzzzzzz Got somethings sorted anyhow so that's a relief. Not sure how Christmas will go to be honest - what with my son's father-in-law dying so suddenly. We all usually go to my son's but, will his wife feel up to it??

Will just be pleased when it's the middle of January :-D

Going to bed now....night everyone......~~~~~

I am back got home about 3pm and went for a kip.

Had sedation and a top up which didn't help but I did get a good couple of hours this afternoon.

They have taken a biopsy and are going to contact the consultant as they think I should have a scan to check everything is ok.

Under strict instructions to order room service have not to do anything not even boil a kettle ;-)

Star is a little better son and F slept on the floor with her again she didn't get the drain out and has to see the vet again tomorrow.

Phew :-)

Cynthia good that OH only needs to be checked every two years.

Off to have another cuppa I missed them yesterday :-)
