I have spent the last 3 hours cleaning the kitchen, JB cleaning a bedroom!

There is something very cathartic about cleaning...........argh....I sound like Cyns

Maybe I should think about buying some Christmas cards and get them in the post

What happened to your 'Sunday lunch' Ginns ???

I tried a new recipe for my yorkshire puds (along with a new baking tray) and they came out GINORMOUS !!!

Just looked in the cupboard to find my christmas cards - may just write them this afternoon??

I have never been this far forward in my christmas preparations before!! ;-) :-D :-D

We don't do Sunday lunch Dea

I will cook some pizza later and mess up my sparkling kitchen

What's the new recipe for the Yorkshire's?

I've just come back from Sainsbury's with a shed load of new ovenware...don't want anything sticking on the big day!

Dea

Dea Report 8 Dec 2013 15:08

It's this one Ginns - I put it into 12 'holes' not 8 but it made some seriously big ones!!!

Looks good Dea.

I'm sure I tried one of his Yorkie recipes before but there was about 6 eggs and all the ingredients were in equal parts....turned out spot on and huge

I think new non stick pans help too although my mom never washed her pudding tins, only wiped them out. She would never allow them to be used for anything else

I put sage and chopped onion in mine with lots of pepper and salt

Dea Report 8 Dec 2013 15:50

I had a very expensive Yorkshire pudding tray before but the puds always stuck and I had to scrub it clean afterwards.

This new one is half the price AND it does'nt stick !!!

Whew caught up at least on here just got to clear my emails now :-)

We enjoyed Berlin it was about 3c most days except on Tuesday when it went down to 1c it was a nice crisp cold though :-)

the markets were lovely but very expensive but we enjoyed the gluhwein and brotwurst ;-)

I loved the Ka De We store especially the 6th floor - filled with lots of different brands/types of chocolate and tea, coffee, wine and champagne bars :-D

Heaven :-)

We also visited checkpoint Charlie and the museum and got our photo taken with the "guards"

We visited the Brandenberg gate and the Berlin wall.

There is a 300 metre section still standing which has been decorated by graffiti artists and is now the longest open air gallery in the world.

The palace at Charlottenburg was lovely.

The site of the Jewish memorial which consists of some 2700 slabs of granite was moving to say the least.

We had a busy few days got home about 4pm on Wednesday did the food shop on Thursday and I baked O's birthday cake that night.

On Friday we had the girls for the day and on Saturday I decorated the cake and baked some biscuits then we went to the party.

She wanted a "fairy" cake which I had never done before but I was really pleased with how it turned out.

Her little face was a picture when she saw it and I got a huge cuddle and kiss then she came back and gave me another one and said "Mummy can I have a bit of my cake now"

I think she liked it :-D :-D

today her parents took her to the cinema and out for a meal so we had the little one for the day. They are both full of the cold wee souls.

Now I will have to catch up with the housework tomorrow and then start the Christmas shopping!

Linds, I think you will find that Henry is circular, coloured red and cleans carpets!!

Glad you had a good time and that all went well for the party.

Must check that recipe for Yorkies....I love them - any size any shape!

I've finally managed to type out my Christmas message and hope it keeps my friends amused for a while..... now I have to get the cards written. sigh. I've cut down on my list because the postage is so high.

A busy morning but a nice quiet afternoon. :-D

Just trying to sort out waiting in for a parcel......it's good that some firms send you an email to give the estimated time but now it's a case of making sure I am in!!
