I have been watching the council pull up 100 year old trees on our street :-0

They are going to replant in November but our beautiful tree lined street will not look the same with rows of saplings :-(

awh that's sad ginns - it will take many years to even begin to recover :-(

Why are they uprooting the trees?

Were they in danger of falling down? Or were the roots damaging property.

It will take a long time for the new saplings to mature.

Washing all done now a quick tidy up then OH wants to go to the shops.

I might just stay home and enjoy the peace and quiet ;-)

Root damage....strange, when I claimed the tree outside my front wall had caused it to lean and had to be rebuilt...........the council denied it!

Phewww !!!

It is SO hot here we have had to put the air conditioners on !!! :-0

Gins I think you should put in a claim for your wall not much effort to do a letter which may repay you in thousands of pounds.

Which you could then offset against the price of your lovely new windows :-D

Well - I have had my lumch and children and grandchildren have been round with my birthday flowers and chocolates so I have had a couple of them too .............

I also found my easter egg this morning which I had forgotten about :-0 :-S :-D
