I have done some lovely cheesie omelettes this morning with grilled tomatoes and mushrooms. Bacon also available for anyone who wants it.

Boy oh boy, it's been and still is very hot........lovely :-D

The grandchildren have just been collected - 'Mummy' picked them up early today (thank goodness!) ;-) :-D :-D

As much as I love them to bits, they quite wear me out !!

They are coming again on Thursday but I have a whole day off tomorrow - only one hospital appointment and a hair cut so quite a relaxing day :-D :-D :-D

Oh what a busy life I lead ................... I really wonder how I used to find the time (and energy) to go to work as well ! :-D

Had my tooth mended today - I broke it on Wednesday and it was all jagged and sharp and cutting my tongue but couldn't get to the dentist for various reasons until today.

I had to file the really sharp bits of with my nail file until I could get there so it is quite a relief to have a silky smooth new filling.

My lovely dentist said I did a good job ;-) :-D BUT don't do it again !!!

Well, you can certainly tell that we have had the grandchildren for the past 2 days - we didn't wake up until gone half past eight this morning !!!!! ;-) :-D

A day off today to recharge for tomorrow :-D

You filed you own tooth!!!!!

As you may or may not know.........our area in the city has been under 'street works' since March this year

Everything is being replaced: lamp posts, street signs, curbs, paths, trees and roads

The other day, a man with a shovel was digging up weeds on the paths, the day after, another man came along and collected the debri (weeds). Today..........they have removed all the tarmac from the paths!

Were the first two initiatives really needed, surely the weeds would have been removed WHEN THEY DUG UP THE PATHS :-|

The other week, two days running the tree workers knocked on my door asking who's cars belonged to which house as they couldn't remove the trees with cars parked under them

I told them they should put a notice on the trees....no parking on such a date

They did

It's not rocket science..........idiots!

It seems they are ALL mad Ginns !!! ;-) :-D

At last......the street force waggons, drilling, digging and shouting has stopped

Peace until 7.00am tomorrow

Peace has been restored here too Ginns - Grandchildren have just gone home ;-) :-D

'Mummy is having next week off so we will have a rest to recharge then only 3 weeks of their summer holidays left :-D :-D :-D
