This cold is still hanging about but am feeling a bit better.

going to visit MIL soon.

They got her out of bed and into a chair yesterday. She has managed to eat some food and to take drinks even though her mouth is still sore

I see that the organisers of the WDYTYA event in Glasgow have cancelled the Sunday show.

A lot of unhappy people about on both sides exhibitors and visitors.

Why have they cancelled the Sunday event?

Not enough ticket sales.

Just back from hospital.

Managed to get her to eat half a tub of rice and drink some tea.

she cant hold a cup and needs it in a sippy cup (like a toddlers) they keep forgetting to do it.

Wont forget next time. I had words with the guy on tea duty.

to be fair he said he does ask but if the patient doesn't reply or ask then he doesn't know.

I would have thought the bright pink cup with handles sitting on her table might have gave him a hint :-|

She was in good form and chatting away.

Dea hope you are having fun with the grandchildren and aren't too tired.

We have a week off as son is on holiday.

I think we are babysitting on Friday

Yes, we have had lots of fun with the grandchildren but they have just been collected and I have to say that it was a relief to hand them back ;-) :-D :-D

Mind you, we have them again from around 8am tomorrow and 'possibly' Friday as the other grandparents are out of action just at the moment as 'nana' has had cataracts removed yesterday and doesn't feel quite well enough yet. Still, at least we can have a quiet early night tonight. ;-) :-D

Just off to put my feet up for a while....................

Met Sam for lunch, lovely bohemian place, the food was all homemade and delicious

Had the house to myself most of the day and am home alone for another couple of hours.

Gins sounds like you had a lovely day. I am meant to be getting my hair done tonight just waiting on confirmation.

Now do you remember me saying my fridge/freezer (33 months old) has packed it in.

Today the kettle joined it :-(

We have all heard of double booking.

Has anyone ever quadruple booked?

Son asked us days ago if we could keep the girls tomorrow as they want to go out for an early dinner.

Dropping them off about 4ish. OH say yes no problem we don't have anything on.

Oh yes we do had an appointment in town at 2.30pm. Now cancelled still to rearranged.

Also got engineer coming to look at f/freezer have to call tomorrow for approx. time

Then to top it all we are meant to be meeting friends in town for dinner.

Might make dinner depends on when girls get picked up :-)

Now I know women are brilliant at doing several things at once BUT....
