It's my big sister who passed away last year and her daughter, my niece. Thought I would just put them up for the NY

We were going to friends tonight but JB is not feeling too good, cold stuff. Im more than happy to stay home all warm and cosy, we still have lots of snow here

I would love to see a proper photo of them - send it by pm when you get the time.

I am going to try and find somewhere to go today as I haven't stepped out of the house since xmas eve :-(

Got home last night and I think I still have "plane brain".
Florida treated us really well-great weather and good food.
NY is cold but no snow.

Glad to hear everyone (except JB) is healthier.

Hoping for a nice nights sleep tonight !

Was hoping to sleep through last night but around midnight we had a power cut and so all the alarms in the street went off (including ours) - Hubby went down to switch it off and slipped on the stairs landing on his hip and setting off his back pain again so came back to bed doing his tutt tutting again in between his thhhhhhhhhhh and his oh dears and his psshhh and his other phhhwww's etc - thankfully he went into the spare room for the night so I got a little sleep after all the fireworks went off !!

Thank goodness I didn't invite the family over for lunch today - It was a toss up between today or Sunday lunch and I plumped for Sunday................

We are going to have a gorgeous belated Christmas Diner 'to die for' !!!!!

It was lovely and quiet and I got round without any help and it was lovely just to get some air ;-)

I am going to make a chocolate log this afternoon for Sunday when we are all here for our Christmas Dinner.

Might make my mince pies too if I am 'up to it'.

Well - I have made my chocolate log but haven't filled it yet or covered it in chocolate but what 'did' make me smile was that this is a recipe that I have used for over 50 years and when I read the recipe it had at the bottom - "cost - approx 1/9d "

Hope you are enjoying our late Christmas dinner.

I was going to do mine tonight (we were at No 2 son's) but OH has to watch what he eats for his colonoscopy on Tuesday)

We will do it next week when he can enjoy it

I had to smile DIL sent me a text to ask if F had left her coat here??

Mmm does she come with 2 coats or get sent home without it in this weather :-S

We have had a lovely lazy weekend not been on here either so

We took all the Christmas stuff down yesterday and I got caught up with the washing. Now I have to get caught up with the ironing :-(

Got the gang for steak pie tonight another late dinner. No one wanted it on the 1st .

Forgot to say..............late this morning we had the new neighbour knock on the door

He'd had a VERY late, hard night out...........had his phone and wallet nicked while drawing cash from the machine. By 10.30am this morning £500+ had gone from his account

His fiancé is away with family for the weekend, something tells me HE is going to be in dog house

Fed him some plink plink fizz, he went back next door to sleep it off!
